that bull team has all the components, and all the guys are young. Hopefully Curry will be OK, and that team is going to be frikin scary in the years to come.

chitown like gsw and lottery clipps always seem to draft good talent. chitown got smart, got a good coach, and is reaping the benefits of scott skiles. the players now fit oh so naturally

this is good news...now all we have to do is stink for the next 6 years & build up through the draft, & maybe someday we'll have a brighter future.

It could have been much less if they didn't trade away Artest, Brand, Brad Miller and if Jay Williams didn't get in that bike accident.

I like chandler, the only thing is offensive he is worse than chris dudley, it is a big discussion at realgm, I started a thread about chandlers offense, but a lot of bulls fans said that his offense stinks but his defense is worth all the offensive ineptitude. I would love the knicks to have a chandler type player but not for what chandler will be asking for, somehwere between 7-10 million per... I am tired of one way big men, I want one who can do it on both ends.. If chandler had any offensive moves at all, or if he had shown in these past 3 years that he has been working on a offensive game, I think he would be worth the big money... Anyway, the game he had yesterday was sick, he pimp slapped the raptors...

Bobby - and it only took the Bulls seven years to get it together. When was the last time they were in the playoffs?

Would New York fans give Isiah seven years of similar patience?

I don't think so

Patience with a young core pays off. It's the surest path to contending for a title. Dolan needs to understand that concept.

Its a simple deduction to me. I dont care what GM for the Knicks if its Isiah if it s Larry Bird, if its gary coleman for goodness sakes, all ask is for a new core to be built up underneath what is here. Maybe this Marbury team goes to the playoffs a gfew times, but I dont rest championship assperations on it. I would really like to see isiah aggreive in this draft building a new core and if it makes SENSE, use the ending contracts on vets. I dont want other people sht anymore. If we draft and it ends up sht, well i can take it like a man. I find it hard taking other peoples spit outs who are 30 TO for the most part and overpaying them to a point where Knick fans cant even watch the games because the organization is not fiscally responsible.

Give me an aggresive good draft, maybe 1-2 prescient trade or FA moves and let's go.
no more F Mo Taylor's Vin bakers Malik rose, Pennys etc.... no more.

man, you are so right...everyone preaches about breaking it all down & building back up from scratch through the draft, yet i don't know anyone who would be patient enough to see this team finish at the bottom for the next 6 years before they have a brighter future...it's just reality...everyone expects results right away.

I'd rather watch 7 years of loosing basketball if we were accumating young players with potential and developing them than a team of over-the-hill, overpaid, underacheiving, uninspired players

let's see you say that after even 4 consecutive years of being the bottom of the barrel...it's all very easy to say, but realistically NY fans want a winner & they want it tomorrow...if this team makes a significant trade over the offseason & drafts well, they could be right back in contention in the Eastern Conference...i really truly believe that...if you think that's being overly optimistic, so be it...but i've seen teams like Seattle, Phoenix, Miami, Sacramento & Washington make drastic turnarounds after making the right moves in the offseason or at the trade deadline...why can't the Knicks do the same?

Ah, we have been at like the bottom for the last four years!

Sure, we made the playoffs last year, but didn't deserve to be there.

Four years and we're no better. At least if we were building with youth, we'd be seeing a light at the end of the tunnel.

Right now, for knick fans, the light at the end of the tunnel is a train!

we made the playoffs last year, & if you're going to tell me you weren't the least bit excited before the Nets completely dominated us, i say you're lying...before that, the Knicks had missed the playoffs 2 years & people were going nuts around here saying why this team can't win games.

They have great team defense. Hinrich is an excellent defender, always staying in front of his player and harrasing him. He also is great in denying the ball. Ty Chanlder basically owns the paint or anyone that tried to penetrate. He swatted rose, jyd, kurt thomas so many times I was actually glad crawford was throwing shots up of the dribble. Even when crawford broke his defender down, Ty Chandler swatted him to when he tried to go in the lane.
Ty Chandler is good but the more I see him the more I miss Camby which i think is a far better player than Chandler.

For chicago's offense, they set many picks and screens while spreading the floor with 3 shooters. Their guards all can drive, penetrate, and are tiny + quick.....using the screens wisely.

I just dont think our team has the right players yet. Like Walsh and Oakly said.....we need that low post presense and defensive players.

When you are rebuilding or 7 years, something has gone wrong along the way and usually, you have rebuilt twice at least during that time, just ask atlanta. The bulls have been rebuilding, but are they really better? I mean I will give those guys credit, they are playing well this year, but that team has a lot of one way players, not many players on that team can do it on both ends, that is why they have specialist like gordon and chandler comming off the bench closing games, but is that really a formula to win a championship? I bet chicago rebuilds again within the next 3 years.. just think a few years ago, the bulls also had artest and miller and traded both of them away? are the players they have now better? I dont think so, but we will see how things pan out with this crew...

What exactly is the formula to winning a championship? And tell us all where this "formula" can be found.

The Bulls are in the playoffs and noone in America would have figured it. Yet, the team that you said would win the Atlantic has lost 9 of the last 10 games.

And you are still hating. STOP HATING!

I think the Bulls have a team now, and as far as I'm concerned they had a team back when they traded away Brand, Miller and Artest. It was just plain dumb for them to do that. They could have been good back then already if they had more patience.

Gordon is a rook, in time he will be a starter, and Chandler is an awesome 6th man, just like Camby was. They have Curry, a low post C, that's more then 90% of the league can boast at the position. Hinrich is a keepr, he has been rock solid if not great.

Deng has been very impresive in his rookier campaign before he went down, he will be at least a star player in the league, if not a superstar.

They have a good coach, a good GM it seems now, all they have to do is let their players develop futher.

In a year or two, they'll have this lineup:

C Curry/Chandler
PF draft-FA/Chandler
SF Deng/Nocioni
SG Gordon/draft-FA
PG Hinrich/Duhon

That is already a great team, just need ot get a couple of role players to play starting PF and backup SG.

I don't know how you can say that they are not a good team.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

ummm, I don't remember saying they didn't have a good team.... I don't see where you get that, but I did say they were having a good year, that I did say, I don't see how you can confuse that. But you said they have a great team? great? well then what do we call miami, and Detroit? just curious. Putting things into perspective here, the bulls are building a good team right now, how good, again, time will tell..
