it'd be funny if the nets made the playoffs and get swept by the heat like we did last year

I'm almost hoping they make the playoffs. Their fans seem to think they can take the Heat, or Pistons, so why not let them have their shot. Keep the lotto picks on this side of the river.

That would be sweet. ANd Kidd get toasted by Wade?? And Carter terrified of driving with Shaq there, shoot about 30% for the series??

The Nets team was never very good. Jason Kidd, surrounded by players that are very athletic and can finish is only a winning team in the weak East. They would never last against a sustained post attakc like the Pistons or the Heat. Nor would they be able to compete with a superstar like Lebron. I honestly think that the Orlando Magic have a better team than the Nets this year.

Their 2 finals runs came in the 2 years when the Eastern Conference was extremely weak. Their only competition was a trigger happy Celtic team that would attempt 5000 3's every night. They did not raise any eyebrows when they got destroyed by LA and hey didnt impress anyone when they got beat by San Antonio. That team is a joke. Give me Elton Brand on this Knick team and I will beat the Nets with my eyes closed. Forget that, give me Nene and 2 years and then come back and try to run with us.

I begrudgingly give them a little more credit. I thought they played some excellent series in the east, and I thought they played very well against San Antonio. I thought they might even beat them.

Y'all too focused on the nets.

Kidds dude got 17 assists, 9 rebs and only shot 6 times. Bottom line, they wone.

i'd be interested to hear Shaq tell the media that he doesn't get excited to play bad teams like the Nets.
