Because he's a great player, possibly the best, on a pretty good team that's having an off year for them.

the same could apply for Jason Kidd, Kobe Bryant, Lebron James (who's team is about to fall out of the playoff race for the 2nd consecutive season)...this is what makes me respect a guy like Allen Iverson all the more, even though he's thought of by many as a selfish guy...when you see games like he put up the other day against Lebron's Cavs where he had a statline like this (23 points / 16 assists / 7 rebounds / 5 steals), i think it's fair to say the guy is carrying that team.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

yup....without a doubt, kg is a great player. and minny's team would be in the finals if situated from the eastern conference.

You don't really believe Minnesota would beat the Heat or the World Champ Pistons from the Eastern Conference do you?
We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.

exactly... I mean KG is going to have to take heat for this year, just like marbs is taking the heat and the same for kobe also.. KG has a good team, at least good enough to win more than they have been, it may not be his fault at all, but heck why not dump on him, posters to it to steph all the time, and if the reason is because KG is a great player like someone mentioned, then all the more should he take the heat, he is expected to at least lead his team to the playoffs.....

Last year was more of an unusual year for them actually. It's the only year that Garnett's team didn't either lose in the 1st round or end up in the draft lottery.

He's awesome, though. He does everything. He's simply never had a strong enough supporting cast.

I think Amare is getting close to that level.

Last year, Spree and Cassel really played. If Cassell wasn't hurt they would have gone further. He needs some help badly. He could use Kurt Thomas in the worst way.

His impact on defense is nowhere near Duncan's. He's gott a get more 8 rbs a game too if he wants to be mentioned with Duncan.

"getting close"

Unlike Duncan, he didn't spend four years in college, and unlike Shaq, although he's physically gifted, he's not 50 lbs. heavier than every other C.

Well this is just my opinion, i think Dwight Howard will be as good if not better than amare down the road, Howard is already a beast off the boards, and can block shots, he is working on his post game and already has a jump hook he can shoot with either hand..
