Tim Thomas revealed after the Knicks' loss to the Nets that he "probably won't play again this year." Thomas is suffering from a bone bruise to his left knee.
Thomas sat out the second half of Thursday's loss to the Nets and is scheduled to have an MRI today in New York. With eight games remaining, Thomas feels it would be more beneficial to the team if he rests his sore knee and allows rookie Trevor Ariza to get more playing time.
Thomas is averaging 12.3 points and 3.5 rebounds this season.
That just made my day. If I don't see Ariza starting, I may have to boycott some games. I don't know how more of it I can take.
