This from the Washington Post: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A54148-2002Apr2.html

Departing from his previous assertions that he would return to the University of Maryland next season, sophomore forward Chris Wilcox said yesterday he will make a decision about entering the NBA draft in the coming weeks.

How did he go in the championship game??? I have not seen it and he didn't seem very productive by looking at the stats...

Wilcox put up average numbers in the finals game, but he does the stuff that doesn't show up on the stat sheet. He get's great positioning for rebounds, post ups, and defending in the post. He's a tough guy to move around and can defend anyone. He will be a great NBA player someday and make a solid impact next year so hope that he declares and we can pick him with the 6th or 7th pick in the draft.

There's not doubt Wilcox has Ben Wallace-like intensity with a little more of a scoring mind set. I'm not sure if anyone can match Wallace's tenacity, but Wilcox will probably be one of the closest to doing so.

I think he already has better offensive skills than Wallace.

Oh, there's no question about it.
