whoever gets this guy with a high pick will be very dissapointed. When I hear the J-Kidd comparisons and how good this kid is, I laugh. He's a good college player who couldnt wear Jason Kidds jock if lightning struck him. Jason Kidd in college nearly averaged a triple double and led AMERICA in steals in his first year. I see Deron as a guy who could have weight problems, who doesnt have the quickness that it takes at a higher level and isnt great at any particular skill. hes tough and physical and big for a PG, but speed is a BIg componenet of a PG and I see him being exploited here. Jack of all trade master of none--back up.

wow... I just saw NBAdraft.net has him 4, and Felton 10. Thats bad. I watch 10% of the college BB you do and I can tell this guy isnt gold as a pro. He actually reminds of Frank Williams in a lot of ways.

Felton = Terrel Brandon IMO
I think he will be a nice player. Not a star, but a good part of a good team. 12-14 ppg, 7-8 assists and good defense and decision making.

He's Frank with an outside shot. I like him, but yeah, lotto is a little high. I feel like once the Chicago camp happens and people see his speed issues, he'll fall. But like Frank, he plays better than his skills imply.

I'd love to get Frank back this summer, I believe he's a FA.

actually williams is more like andre miller with more range on his shot, this kid is tough, and a competitor, of course he should not be a lottery pick,a but I think he will be a good pro. he moves well without the ball, and he is a strong defender..

I think Frank got fat. I would rather go for a guy like Charlie Bell who's only 26 and will play every minute like its his last.

If felton was 2 inches taller, he would be the number 1 pick. I guess you can say that about a few guys. I like felton, I think hes the best PG prospct, despite the fact that he still needs work on his J and plays out of control to much. he has the athletic ability, speed and strength on both sides of the ball. He is big enough where he can rebound the ball and rush it up court. His J has gotten much better. I knwo people like chris paul because of his speed and shot, but the physicality of felton will be big on the next level.

Sports Guys' thoughts on Deron Williams, rest of the final four guys on the link below:

Deron Williams: Strange player to evaluate because there hasn't been an NBA point guard even remotely like him -- he's built like a tree trunk, only it's all muscle and girth. If Raymond Felton couldn't guard him, how could half the PG's in the NBA handle him? What happens if he learns how to post smaller guys up? Really intriguing player. Not only is he going to be good, when he grows into that body, he's going to be the first point guard in NBA history who's 6-foot-3 and weighs 260 pounds -- almost like watching an NFL tight end running the point in a charity game, only for 82 games a year. Mortal lock for the top-7.

I've been saying this about Deron Williams the whole time. I remember not to long ago a few of you guys were doing your draft top10s and a bunch of you had him at #4, I was astonished...I'm especially astonished now since I see people saying he's going to be a lottery bust, quick change of heart. Either way, I never liked Deron, he's a good defensive player but he's limited to shooting 3's on offense, I can hardly even remember him taking a shot other then a 3 all tournament long; that goes for all Illinois players as well. Deron will end up being a bigger poor mans Bruce Bowen (it doesnt get much poorer then that.)

I agree with you about Felton Briggs, a couple more inches and this guy would be a Top3 pick no doubt. Love Feltons heart and his agressiveness, especially agressiveness to take the big shots. After that game this year against Duke where UNC lost and didn't even get a shot up at the buzzer it seemed like Felton took that personally becuase after that I never saw the guy shy away from a big shot again. He's going to be a real nice PG in the NBA and he already knows how to spread the wealth which you have to do in the NBA since he plays with all these great players already at UNC. He's going to be a good one.

I can agree with this. I've been saying all along he reminded me of Frank Williams. Of course I thought Frank Williams would be really good in the pros. I think if Deron is given a chance to play early in his career he can be solid, but I don't like him as much as Paul, Felton etc. Could see Deron with an Eric Snow type career.

Rashad McCants: A leading candidate for the 2005 Bo Kimble/Miles Simon Award. I couldn't have been less impressed -- he's four years away from his first Slamball game.
