Pistons coach Larry Brown isn't still mad at Carlos Delfino or Darko Milicic, and he isn't holding any grudges.

But, as he made abundantly clear during his radio show on WDFN 1130 Tuesday, he's tired of their selfish attitude and unless they wise-up, they are probably not going to be part of the Pistons' playoff rotation.

"There have been a lot of situations where I don't think these young kids have come off the bench with a desire to play," he told Mike Stone, host of the "Stoney & Wojo" program.

The topic came up in reference to Brown's benching of Delfino, Milicic and Carlos Arroyo after they gave up seven straight points in just over a minute in Toronto on Sunday.

"What if Ben (Wallace) or Antonio McDyess or somebody is in there because one of those young kids didn't feel like playing, and, God forbid, they get hurt?" Brown said. "The other thing is, you are part of a team and you do what you are told. ... I didn't like the way they played and I didn't like the fact that they didn't try. They almost cost us a game."

Milicic and Delfino each played two minutes Wednesday night against the Wizards. Milicic was 0-for-2 and gave up five points to Peter Ramos. Delfino had an assist, rebound and steal.

"Darko is a young kid that just doesn't get it," Brown said. "He wants to play, but he wants to play on his terms. He sees all these other kids from his draft class playing on bad teams and it's tough for him. ... Listen, if he'd have played last year and we lost, he'd been much happier. That's not a bad thing. That's just what we're faced with."

I wondered if they/we would be willing to swap Darko for a veteran. The only one I can think of that makes sense is KT. KT would do very well there. Anyone think thats an option? I think Darko was taken WAAAAY to high at 2 but he does have good talent and is in desperate need for a change of scenery.

all of this is moot b/c LB will be gone next season and dumars can bring in a coach to build with darko and delfino.

i wonder if Dumars would consider bringing in Laimbeer to replace LB should he leave? Darko could certainly learn something about being a nasty bigman in the NBA from him, that's for sure.

as to fish's question, KT for Darko? where do i sign up for that? but the salaries don't match, so what filler are you going to add to make it work? only Derek Coleman fits the bill unless you're making this as part of a larger trade w/multiple players changing hands.

how about:
KT & Sweetney for Darko, Coleman & Lindsey Hunter?

C - Coleman (until Darko develops further) / Darko
PF - lottery pick (Taft, Bogut) / Rose / Mo T
SF - TT / Ariza / JYD
SG - Crawford / Penny
PG - Marbury / Hunter
IR - Houston

then you have Coleman & Hunter's expiring contracts to use as trade chips at the allstar break.

we probably just release the other 2 guys. I would rather give a guy like Charlie Bell as shot then Hunter.

that's an option, sure...my guess is Coleman would probably be released, but Hunter could be of some use for his defense...who knows how healthy Penny will be next year anyway...having another G would be a good in either case.

God, I hope Larry Brown isn't our coach next year:

Ariza, Taft and Nate not in Larry's doghouse, but he really wishes they'd learn to play the game the "right" way.
