he must be thinking about how he can make up an excuse, or who he can blame something on--you know layden, craw missed 9 games TT family life etc...

lets face it we really dont have any exciting young players we can count on or even have the pleasure to watch--Trevor is raw and now they will barely play him??? They let Sweet gain weight without putting the hammer down, you know hes as good as gone. so who is the exciting you knick players we paid 100 of MM for?

Its starting to hit people why no one wanted JC? this is a league for men, not for pussies.

Just keep hammering 'em out. It's refreshing to get a new perspective every once and a while. Finally, a thread that's not exactly like 500 posts we've already seen!

what do you want me to do lie? this team is brutal! if you want me to tell you 1,000 different ways i will. i dont watch with rose-colored glasses--the signs were there in pre-season! they are doing a great job of losing, but the problem is they are TRULY trying to win

look at teasm like POR Utah they play everone on the roter, and in Portladn case, they have basically told the vets for the most part you are not playing.

Briggs, I know you are frustrated, but your attacks on crawford are confusing, I mean do you think he is the reason why the knicks are this bad? personally I don't even think he is anywhere responsible, we knew we were getting a guy who is a unfinished product,a little rough around the edges and needs some work... I don't see why you are making, trashing Jamal, a recurring theme around here..

IT IS SO SAD TO SEE THAT THE KNICKS CAN'T EVEN COMPREHEND THE IMPORTANCE AND WISDOM OF LOSING WISELY.

THINK HOW MANY OF THEM WILL BE COMPETING ON THIS TEAM IN THE NEXT 2 YRS? THEY'RE JUST WASTING PRECIOUS PLAYING TIME FOR OUR POSSIBLE FUTURE CORE PLAYERS.

I doubt you'll ever see him play D, but I'll let you know when he gets a beer gut.

Yup; he said I copy other people's ideas (which is silly because not many people share my views!) but all he does is cut and paste his own ideas into a new thread every two days. What happened to the idea of a stickying a Briggs' complaint thread?

Look, when you see the same things over and over your going to hear the same things over and over. Trust me, I'm pretty sure he like myself would rather be talking about Ariza's development or Sweetney becoming a better pro or ANYTHING besides how freaking lousy we are and boring to watch to boot.

Layden made the same mistakes over and over and over again. Hopefully Isiah looks at this mess he re-made and does a 180. Its a little scary when he looks to the Mo Taylors of the league to improve the team, rather than build with younger talent.
I will say one thing, if he's continues on this pace his career with take a major hit. I would think its pretty obvious that the one thing that can bail him out of this is drafting the next star for this franchise. I'm hoping and praying he will do that.

The losing hurts less than the way we are losing. We spent 100mm to have a playoff team. Remember when Isiah was talking about winning the division? Even if you have a losing season you want to accomplish something. I dont know that we have accomplished anything.

YOu right, he is unfinished, but why give him 56 million dollars if he is not? He got 3 years to show what he is. I realize this was perhaps the only way we could have obtained this kind of player, but it magnifies the importance of moving towards better cap flex fast so we don't have to take on dudes that are not finished, or have played under their potential.

Crawford has a bad role... he needs to be in motion and working in space, not launcing deep 3s in a halfcourt set.

The dude is venting.

How about we provide a sticky thread where you don't talk hoop but you can posts your snits. You can be the anal retentive curator of facts. This way in case we repeat ourselves, you can be a super hero and save the day. Growing in stature each time until you are the supreme authority of things on the ultimateknicks!

Bonn talks hoops? Carefull Nalod.. you treading a thin line. On one hand you want to say the snit annoys you, on the other you want to avoid the 700 future responses it will cause. What to do?

Ok, we shoud provide a seperate sticky so Bonn and I can snit back and forth!

I get your point. I like the 700 retorts, but I suppose I am being selfish in thinking they are as entertaining to me as they are to the community.

We all just reshashing everyting anyway. To bad we can't talk about the playoffs! Its all been said a 100 times.

I would be happy to talk about next year.. I'm just afraid the hoopsgods will be so enraged they will throw a fiery mountain down on MSG and the Knicks will be no more.

I would have been happy if I could have said...
Sweetney can be a starter for years to come
Ariza can be a core rotation player
Marbury can make guys around him better
Crawford has showed signs on honing his game and skills

All I can say is Ariza has been a pleasant suprise.
Sweetney will be guest starring w/ Kirsty Ally in "fat player"
Marbury's entertaining to see that "I just drank sour milk" look on his face everytime a teammate fumbles one of his passes
Crawford was better on the Bulls (did they win more games than us last year?)

I can't wait to see how much you bash our rookies from this draft when they aren't averaging their college numbers and are skinny and can't play man defense.

That's a deal! We'll sticky a thread where Briggs vents and sticky a separate thread where you act snitty and I reply similarly. Somehow I don't think Andrew and Martin would be up for this, though.

Actually Layden was responsible for 80mil, and Isiah added 20% on top of that to put his stamp on the team. I don't care about the extra 20%, I care that moves were made to (at least attempt to ) better the team in a way that makes them younger and more explosive.

Did we accomplish anything this year? We reversed the hiring of Lenny Wilkens which was a suspect move LAST YEAR, and we learned that Isiah can turn a 2nd rd pick into a guy who not only made the team, but contributed. What else did we accomplish this year? We turned the KVH trade last year into a more positive experience converting Nazr into a true leader in the hard-nosed Rose. We brought in JYD this year. Rose, JYD, Ariza, all these guys hustle and guard and create extra possesions. They are all complimentary pieces and there wasn't much to compliment when TT didn't show up and neither really did Allan. When 2/3 of your big 3 is Missing in Action most of the year, you get what we have now.

The jury is out on Marbury and Crawford getting better at playing Defense. That could be the real downfall of the team. The reason Marbury has such a good +/- isn't because the Knicks do so well when he is on the court, it's because they do so poorly when he's OFF it.

We need a real backcourt backup who plays defense. Brewer and Moochie didn't cut it this year. JJackson doesn't seem ready yet.
