the knicks are going to do anything in their power to win games here and Sweetney the best fit as a starter[i still believe his $$$$$game is off the bench where he catches second line players or tired starters]

Sweets has all but lost his spot till next year.

Mo Taylor and Rose have both actually proved to be a good one two punch.

for a split second, I thought you meant "I think you are going to see mo taylor move into the Summer league" and I was like, YES HE CAN WORK ON HIS DEFENSE THERE

but yeah, taylor has quickly proved he is the most offensively skilled big man the knicks have

Someone needs to put Sweetney out of his misery. We've already hurt his trade value by showing that he's very far from being ready to be an NBA starter and probably hurt his confidence as well. I was just as wrong as everyone who thought Sweetney should be starting, though.

hmmm... I thought Sweetney was part of our great "future core" that Isiah has uncovered. He's a good kid but what he does or doesnt become in this league has yet to be determined.
This stuff cracks me up. Reality is setting in isnt it?

Who said great future core? All I'd say is that Isiah hasn't been the "disaster" that you call him.

Regarding Sweetney, I still think he has the potential to be a pretty good 6th man, but he's not ready to be a starter.

yes, right now our core is sweetney, ariza, crawford and marbury.

Our "veteran" leadership comes from Rose, Mo T and Kurt (and marbs)

Crawford is supposed to be our sixth man off the bench for atleast another 2 years and Sweets was supposed to come off the bench until Kurt was no longer here.

Now, packaging kurt and sweets for a shot blocking center and finding a way to use Penny's expiring deal to get a pure SG would upgrade the knicks immensely, but if we are rebuilding, then sweets is our future.
all kool aid all the time.

Sweetney will never be a good starting PF unless he got in shape. His moves aren't as effective at 300LBS if he trimmed down he would unstoppable offensively and on the boards and he would be able to last an entire game and play at a high level throughout. That is a BIG IF though

so right now I would trade him and Kurt for a shotblocker and a pick in the 10-15 range.

Yup....that is what I'm hoping for.

I think with Sweetney's age and potential he still has good trade value and he could very well be a guy someone would trade a first rounder for. I would so push for that type of move.

KT is gone. Dude would be lethal on a team with a post presence. He's not helping the Knicks move any mountains. KT and Craw together could really bring back a serious chip....maybe Ray Allen especially since he is a free agent.

I'd be willing to trade Kurt and Sweetney for any player plus any lottery pick (1 to 15)
