there is 1 guy in particular that is just SICK athletically...his And1 handle is "The Helicopter" (real name = John Humphrey)...6'1" & he plays WAY above the rim...i didn't even know he was that short until i looked up his profile...he looks & plays more like he's 6'5"...& he's only 23 years old.

i wonder if any of these guys would be be able to hold their own on an NBA court...other than Rafer Alston i don't know of any other streetballer that has made a successful transition.

Isiah gave "Headache" a try during the summer league. He got cut real fast. Nothing was written about it. The only reason I even noticed was because I recognized him.

Tyron Evans a.k.a. "Alimoe" a.k.a. "The Black Widow" is probably the most NBA ready And 1 star. He is 6'8" 208lbs with a point guard handle. He's like Jalen Rose except he's more athletic, better defender, and better point guard skills. He's 28 though and time is ticking.

I really wish someone would give him a shot.

I have mixed feelings about and 1,nevertheless Id like to see "the pharmacist" get a shot.He has an amazing handle and most of the stuff he does,he does without palming or traveling which cant be said about most of the and 1 crew.He might make a good back up PG.

And1's Helicopter scores 65pts in ABA game
01.24.2005 - Updated on 01.24.2005

21-Jan-2005
Boston, MA -- John "Helicopter" Humphrey had 41 points at half time and he was just warming up. The Frenzy's team captain and the ABA's second leading scorer dropped a career high 65 points in a 137-131 win against the Maryland Nighthawks at Tripp Athletic Center.

Humphrey helped put the Frenzy up for good with a pair of free throws in the final minutes. Boston now (5-12) hit 18 three pointers in the game. Humphrey had twelve. He also went 11-13 from the free throw line in his first game back since aggravating a right ankle bruise.

"That was the best scoring game he's ever had," said Frenzy assistant coach Lee Davis, who's been involved in Humphrey's basketball career since he coached him at West Cateret HS in North Carolina. "He's had better games from the floor but he's never been on a shooting roll like tonight," he added.

Humphrey did turn the ball over five times, one of the few blemishes on his box score. The Frenzy also got a punch from warrior big man Troy Brown. The Providence College grad scored 23 points and snatched 21 rebounds vaulting his division leading average to 12.9 per game.

Humphrey, who averaged 27 points coming in, bumped his season average to 31.2, placing him just one-tenth of a point behind Dontae Jones for the league lead in scoring.

this guy has to be worth at least a tryout, wouldn't you think?
