What's happening? RealGM says the deal doesn't work capwise so are they discussing the details or what? That was the key part of the deal IMO and it'd be a shame not to end up getting him.

I think the deal seems pretty much complete, but the two teams just have to work out minor problems. For one, no the two player's contracts don't match, but a filler or cash will make the deal complete. Your also right about another thing, the first deal can't really work unless the second one happens as well, and thats why if Layden gets anything done this summer, this deal has to be it. If both these deals happen right, i think we will be a lot better.

Unfortunately I think the deal is dieing if not dead. White is a good alternative.

I don't know if this has been addressed in other threads but Foyle is a BYC player earning $4.4M and Ward is at $5.5M. The salaries don't match and because of the BYC thing, a straight-up trade can't happen.
