Ever since that last second block vs us I have been hoping we land him in the offseason. He was a big intimidater when we played them. He is very tall with long arms which works well with the roses & jyds on this team. He can stop the Murphys and the Pryzbillas from just raiseing there arms to get rebounds over us.

And he still has great potential, athletic, hard worker, plays hard.

yeah, he'd be nice...but i don't think CHI would trade him to us unless we won the lottery & traded the pick for him.

I think Curry is the one they are more likely to move, but I bet they would consider our #1 and decent veteran player... to bad we really dont have any (doe!)

I would put the offer out there ... cant hurt.

Again we need to address style of play. If we are going for a scoring team thats going to run and put up 100 plus a game then you want Curry. If your going to field a bunch of blue collar guys tht fight and scrap get Chandler.

I prefer Curry and think he's more likely to be moved, but I'd love to have either

Yes, I think Chandler fits better with our roster, but I wouldn't mind getting Curry.

Nah I think regardless of style of play you get a Chandler-type player. We need a shotblocker regardless of what happens because our perimeter defenders are not good.

Chandler-tpes help us no matter what team we want to be, run and gun or half court. He isn't the post up player, but in a half court offense you only need 1 post up player the other one should be the rebounder and shot blocker.

Only thing is, if we got Curry we could probably still get someone like Chandler, (steve hunter, Gadzuric, Stromile) we can't really get someone like Curry cause there is no one else like him (a 6-11/7-0 scorer in the post).

You could get Curry and try to get Camby (if the Nuggets want to get out of his contract). There are other shot-blockers you could look at too. A pure back to the basket dominant scorer like Curry is a much more difficult type of player to get.

yeah, you see I actually came to that realization by the time I finished my post. Thats why i changed it to "chandler-type" and said there is only one Curry in the end but there are other Chandlers.

the good thing is, Chicago is unlikely to hold onto both of these guys, so Isiah will have a decent shot at landing 1 of them.

Chandler has the higher qualifying offer figure at $6,265,439 while Curry comes in at $5,139,355, so a MLE offer might at least be applicable to Curry to start things off & Isiah can negotiate further from there...i'm sure Chicago would match, but then Curry will be wanting more than a MLE contract & that might open the door for a sign & trade situation a-la Jamal Crawford last season...my guess is Isiah offers up KT & Sweetney for Eddy Curry, perhaps throwing in a late 1st rounder as well for a future Chicago pick which Paxson may go for since he has no picks in this year's draft.

I guess my point is get a shot blocker, from somewhere no matter what.
But Curry's skills are more at a premium.

It would be a HUGE steal if we got Curry in that deal. I think any deal would have to start with Sweetney and our lottery pick going to Chicago.

Yeah, what he said. The Bulls are winning not rebuilding on the fly.

I was high on curry and chandler at one time, but after watching both closely, curry is a fat azz who does not rebound or block shots, i don't care how good of a low post scorer he is, Mo taylor is a very good low post scorer and most of you seem to hate him..

Chandler is a good high energy guy,can rebound and block shots, but I would like to look at cheaper alternatives especially in offensively challenged shot blockers like chandler. I do not want to offer up any lottery picks for either of those guys..

You haven't watched Curry this year if you think he's fat. He's in very good shape now. He's 285 pounds of muscle.

Bonnie, you collect these pictures? Why you feel compelled to defend Currys muscle to fat density?

Bonn is correct when he says Curry is in great shape this season...he just needs a coach to work w/him on defense & polish up his low post game, & he'll be a beast in the very near future imho.
