On the comback trail. As bad as his injuries were if they are all bone (non ligament/structural) you can come back from these. He's probably only 23-24 years old and is from this area.

I think a 2 year deal with a 3rd option would be feasible. Something around $1-$1.5mm a year. If he works out well this makes a 100 times more sense than waisting 8mm on Vin Baker.

Obviously its all *if* he can play. This kid has always had a great attitude and work ethic.

Not with Crawf on our roster. You forgot that those two didn't get along???? I would love to have JWill, because personally I think that he has a better basketball IQ than Marburry. He plays like Marb, but he was coached better than Marb.

All that said, I would love to have this kid backing up Marb at the point if he is healthy...This dude is one hell of a confident cat.

Interesting idea.....I think the problem at the time was they were both young players and the future in ChiTown. Now, JWIll can't have the same athleicism he once had and may be able to to settle on a totally different role...It is a chance I would take.

However, he still belongs to the Bulls...If and when he decides to return, he might return to the Bulls. If not, He is definitely a chance that Isiah must take...

They got along just fine. Crawford was open about not being happy about JWill winning the starting PG spot when he hadnt played a minute at the pro level.

Both are better suited to play the 2 anyway

i had read somewhere that J Will said he'd come back as a Bull if anything...i would guess he feels some sort of feeling of obligation to them after the investment they put into him & for paying out some of his contract even though they didn't have to.

I thought the whole reason he got bought out was because the Bulls didn't want to have anything to do with him anymore...
this is a good kid and a very inexpensive pickup for any team in need of a pg

I don't think the Bulls need him or want him back at this point with Gordon/Hinrich/Duhon.

I feel like he'd be a great fit here, especially if Isiah is considering people like Damon Stoudamire. JWill can play back up PG and SG and shoot the 3 off the bench. Worth giving him a shot.

Fish, why are you now convinced that the Baker signing was not an implicit part of the Crawford deal? You and everyone else here used to at least be open to the possibility that it was. None of us know, but I assume it could have been. If it wasn't, then the Baker signing gets a D- or an F. If it was, it gets no grade.

Your right Tes. Jay Williams always just said that he was going to give the Bulls the first shot at signing him when he was ready to come back to the NBA becuase of how they stood by him during his whole situation. Fish, I love the idea, while I was watching the All-American game last nite I kept saying, "jay give us an update of where your at!" So I like the timing of this little blurb. I wonder if Ishiahs influence could bring Jay in here, I'd love to him, he's def. a good kid who made a mistake and I'm sure is chomping at the bit to show everyone he can still play.

Id give Williams a shot.He seems to have matured since the accident and having Marbury and Crawford looking in their rear-view mirror is a plus IMO.

I saw a headline online that said the Rockets may have an interest in him.

Im rooting hard for this kid to make a strong comeback!

Craw was wigging when he was a bull cuz he was pineing for a contract, which uncle Isiah gave him. He should be cool now!

Crawford said from the get go he had NO problem with JW. His beef was losing his starting job before training camp opened to a rookie. Pretty understandable. As it went Crawford outplayed and was the starter. The two never had any issues.

In real gm they had discussions about this. I guess Jay Will was an announcer at some game and he said good things about Isiah and the Knicks.
