I wonder if Mehmet Okur will be available in the offseason. He signed for Big $$ in Utah but still doesn't start regularly. We were interested in him last year and I'd still be interested now. He's an excellent scorer at the C position.

we've got excellent scorers aplenty... the question is whether we have excellent defenders...
what we need right now is guys such as trenton hassell, guys who are on minimum, unguaranteed contracts who will play 30 mpg while guys like craw and marbury are benched occasionally... THAT is what will hopefully light a fire under our guys who already have big contracts and play lots of minutes

I think that is too much for any of those players although granted Zach is a young 20 and 10 guy, and Ray allen is a superstar in the league.

RAY ALLEN
No one on that list fits a glaring need, except maybe Ray Allen, we do need a spot up shooter. We had a glimpse of what Steph and H20 could have been and Ray Allen is even more dynamic than H20.

I still think its too much, because our interior is still lacking waaaaay too much to go all the way, with Ray Allen, and our same bigs. If we had an interior defensive presence, with Ray Allen, we would be a very good team. If we were able to keep Tim Thomas too, we would be an elite team. I don't think you can argue with that.

It would seem we would be able to trade Crawford to seatlle, he's young, talented, from Seattle, and it seems like he would really excel in the west playing the kind of game they do. He's peerfect for that style.

I'd do a 2 player sign and trade resigning Ray Allen (max) and gerome James minimum for Crawford + Penny + 1. We still gotta package Sweets with somebody cause we still got 4 PF's, but if we made this trade, we are really cooking with gas. We would be an elite team. And hope the young big works out that we got.

Zach Randolph
I really cant see Zeke getting us a PF, as good as Zach is on O. He plays no D, and has rep as a selfish player, we don't need him. If we want that, we would be smarter to get Curry, he's a center and what he does at center is more important than what Zach does at PF. I'd go for it with Curry, but not with TT, again I'd try to use penny. Thats too much for curry too.

CARLOS BOOZER
I like Boozer, but thats waaaaay too much for him. We would definitely be overpaying with that deal. Sweets + penny + #1 is something that makes more sense, but they'd have to include someone else to make it work (and I'd try to fill a need with that someone else too). I'd do that deal, but still you gotta fix our roster, we would still have 4 PF's. That just can't work we need an atheltic 7 footer who can give us 30 good minutes a night.

I'd love to see Zach and Ray Allen as Knicks. Wouldn't trade Sweet and a lotto for either though. Craw and a big for Ray yes. Sweets and Tim or Penny for Zach and cap filler yes.

BTW - f--- those other guys. Unless Utah would want Kurt for Okur, that Id'dconsider.

wow, KT for Okur would be perfect if Utah was looking for a PF...maybe if they trade Boozer that would be a possible option.

I think Big Eddy will be Isiah's first trade target. I don't mind any of those guys you listed if the price is low. If Zach's knee is okay, the price for him would be higher than the other prices, but a healthy Zach is a very good young player.
