looking at the boxscore it looks like Marbury had a monster game (45 / 10 / 6 & 15 for 16 at the charity line)...KT had a strong game too w/his 18 / 15 but he had his usual 0 FT attempts )...Jamal Crawford had a solid line too w/16 / 9 shooting a good %, but more importantly, only 1 T/O...

& this all equates to a WIN, right? WRONG!!! another loss last night! YEAAAHHH!!!

guess who's a likely suspect? i'll give you a hint...check out the statline & figure it out for yourself:

5 points / 2 assists / 0 rebounds / 2 turnovers in 23 minutes of work...& the man he was guarding scores 26 points & grabs 6 rebounds & he's not even an allstar player.

but since i don't want to be accused of being a hater when this guy has been playing so "well" of late, i won't bother mentioning his name...i think it's fairly obvious who Isiah needs to unload next season...this guy doesn't deserve to wear the Knicks' orange & blue.

You should have said the same thing when both Kurt and Crawf disappeared during the two games when it mattered the most. Seattle, Portland, and GS, where were they????? TT was there, 33,22,etc.

depending on TT will be the worst thing Isiah can do, and if he resigns him we know we are F***ED

A solid plan to both dump some payroll and keep our options open would be to buyout Penny this summer. Even if we only save $2-$3mm its worth it for the roster spot.

Go into next season w/ TT as the starting 3. If he plays like a fugazy who cares, we let him walk at the end of the year and hand the job to Ariza who we use the MLE on (if we havent already resigned him THIS offseason)

IF TT shows an ounce of heart and is playing well even better. His expiring contract will be worth a lot at next year's deadline, especially if he's playing well.

That being said if we could move TT+Sweetney to Tor for Jalen and their #1 I would do that, as I think we would wind up with 2 better players. Plus Rose would fill a real NEED, unlike Mo T. I think Rose would be a better option to start at 2G and play backup PG as well.

but when you buy out a player his contract still counts against the cap but I agree at least it frees up roster space. But first I would see if there is a Marbury like player out there to trade for at the deadline if not much is out there than buy out penny. I have a really hard time believing Isiah won't use Penny, TT, taylor, houston as trade pieces

I fell asleep in the 3rd quarter when Marbury had 27. He must have really taken over after I went to sleep.
Jamal's 16 and 9 on 5-11 shooting are really nice, until you notice that he shot 5-11 from 3 point range and 0-0 from 2 pt range!

Exactly what I am talking about. Why can't Marb tell Crawf to giveup the 3s and learn to shoot 2s instead? I would appreciate Craw game more if when I look at the stats sheet he took 12 shots and all 12 were 2s.....He is saying that he is confused, I think that what he is confused about is the 2 line Vs the 3.

Gaz gets no rebounds in 23 min? I saw in second period his two dumbass passes taken for steals.

There is no joy in Marbs face! He scores, shakes his head. I have no idea whats going thru his head. Is he trying to get his boys up and inspire? Does not seem that way!

Kt was a rock in first half. I too fell asleep in 3rd period.

I apprciate Herbs efforts and really do like him. This team has no life in it, and if the players are playing for him, they have a funny way of showing it.

There is plenty of talent on this team but not heart, no chemistry. Rose should have more influence next year as a leader. Marbs body language seems very self absorbed, not very team oriented. He would make a good Clipper!

marbs was on fire last night, KT stats are deceiving,he was getting beat on the boards, and took nothing but jumpers..

Craw took some wide open 3's, that stat is deceiving also, since he took 3 threes, when the knicks gave him the ball with the shot clock expiring and one at the end of the quarter..

But when you look at it, we let devean friggin george and caron Butler have great games, that to me says a lot about the talent level of this team, and the fact that ariza didn't miss a shot or FT, yet got little minutes is puzzling..

I can't believe this, you guys are talking like this all new to you all. Knicks have been this bad since the day they offered Houston the big contract and when we acquired Kurt Thomas. We will continue to be a bad team until one of those two is gone. Forget about all the changes that we are making, until Isiah can find a way to get rid of one of those two, we will always be mediocre.

all of Ariza's pts came off steals and wide open dunks. I wouldn't look too into his stats lastnight especially since the Lakers weren't playing defense. But the bottomline is ariza and butler need to play now that the season is over not KT and co!

it's funny how you keep saying we'll continue to be a bad team as long as KT is here yet never seem to allude to the fact that we have a GAPING hole at the SF position as long as TT is on this team taking up Ariza's minutes.

Hey man! I have no problem trading TT, I lost all respect for him since his disappearance from the first half of the season

Weren't the Knicks on a little winning streak when KT was out of the lineup. The Knicks passing last night was horrible. The Lakers just step in front of the passing lane or just put up their hands and got easy steals. BTW, I know NBA players are self conscious about getting dunk on but to just escort Butler and Kobe back to their baskets w/o trying to block a shot is ridculous, TT. I mean he commits one hard foul and becomes scare to defend the rim for the rest of the nite.

i'm not even trying to defend KT here bro...i want him gone just as badly as you do, but at least KT puts up #'s on a consistent basis...i hope TT follows his butt right out the door next year.

Yeah, I know, just taking a jab at KT so call importance to this team. I am not sure what KT's function on this team anymore. I hate to say this but this team will go as far as TT takes. If you look at the Knick wins, he is usually among the driving force. Whether on offensive or defensive. Butler goes off while he doesn't. Marbury can get 60 and 20 and it still comes down to TT. I don't know how it got like that but it has.

I had to read every post until I found a post that I agreed with.

And it was from our great commissioner in our Fantasy League. hahahahahahaha

Anyways, I found myself running to the computer to try and grab Devean George and add him to my fantasy league team because the Lakers are done. George has to get minutes, I figure

Oh wait, back to the Knicks...Yeah it was similar to watching a game where the Knicks refused to play defense and make stops.

Marbury did his thang

I got like that because Crawford has fallen into a hole. He is passing well, but not scoring well. He was averaging 18 ppg earlier. We need him AND TT.

BTW, KT has stunk it up on quite a few occasions. Marbs has been by far the most consistant. We need another consistant scorer, and not KT. it has got to be TT or Craw.

wow, strong game by some of the Knicks last night
