Here is another scenario to throw out there. Jerry Krause lures Michael Olowokandi away from Clipper-town with a max contract. Don Sterling doesn't want to open his pockets and doesn't want to get any younger, so he trades his lottery pick and the one he receives from Atlanta to the Knicks for Marcus Camby and Othella Harrington. On Draft Day, Knicks get Dajuan Wagner with their first pick, and then since the 2nd and 3rd picks will be mid to end of the lottery, they could choose between Caron Butler, Curtis Borchardt, Amare Stoudemire, and Chris Wilcox. I think they should take one power forward and decide between Butler and Borchardt, both are unique and hard to replace. Anyways, they do some more cap-cutting moves and tank the 2002-2003 season to get LeBron, and they could have a possible lineup of:
PG- Dajuan Wagner
SG- LeBron James
SF- (Caron Butler)
PF- Chris Wilcox/Amare Stoudemire
C- (Curtis Borchardt)

Thoughts...

I hate to say this. It is very unrealistic. Sterling would never trade 2 lotto picks for Injury proned Camby and Othella Big Ass Harrington.

Oh well.

I don't see that happening. Camby's too injury prone and neither he or Othella are superstars. They'd have potential with that pick. Would Layden really take Wagner, or would he go and draft Chris ****ing Marcus?
