it's becoming clearer and clearer to me, that marbury was brought in to be the big ticket player for the knicks while isiah assembles his team. we're 2-3 years away from getting the pieces to really compete on a high level, probably when marbury's 30/31. marbury gives the franchise a "name" to sell tickets and that's it for now. he may be the first piece, but ultimately, i don't think it will be "his" team that will be one to compete. he'll just be the pg of whomever's team it will be.

i'm still really confused about philosophy of the mo deal but i'm giving isiah this summer to show what direction he's really taking with this team. a max deal will piss me off. using the picks AND KEEPING them, will make me happy.

I'd love to get rid of Marbury's $20mil per max deal but do you honestly think this organization is going to consider trading him? I don't see Isiah ever trading him and if he does he's the ultimate double talkin jive mother****er and I'll give him mad respect for it!
