Check out the box for this game against SA Spurs

sports.espn.go.com/nba/boxscore?gameId=250327024

It's weird that all season the team is fighting to trade for guards to spread the floor and then Howard goes down. Wish the timing was before the trade deadline cause VG would have called for his old buddy KT. They are THIN at the 4, and with Duncan hurting and Shaq gone, this can be the time for the Rockets.

Gotta believe that Isiah will try something on draft day. Anyone want to see either Baker or Spoon + Houston #1 + filler for KT going?

I'll take it if thats the best we can do for KT. I'm not crazy about another late 1st rd pick, I'd prefer a mid 1st rounder but who in their right mind, other than Houston would want Kurt! So yeah I would do it..good idea Martin!

in that texas shootout, rockets looked grounded with very little energy on offense down the stretch and all you had to do was read vg's facials. tmac did not have what was needed in the last quarter to sustain a victory. sa looked so crisp and fresh houston got tired just watching sa school them on ball rotation. wonder how vg feels about getting rid of jimmy jackson...ooops!

if duncan does not return for the rest of the season i look for sonics, denver, and suns for the real competition

then again, never ever under estimate the heart of a true competitor.......sa is just that

will HOU want to trade for KT w/Juwan Howard on their books though? it would seem to me they would be offering up Juwan Howard in any deal for KT.

i would definitely give them KT for Spoon or Baker + filler & their #1 if it was on the table, but i don't know if Isiah would, unless he could parlay that pick w/the other late picks to land himself a C like a Curry or Kwame.

everyone knows they want a "tough" 4 that can protect Yao some and do real dirty work. In some ways I would miss KT... ok I'm over it.

Martin a guarded yes. Houston is 23 right now I think... give or take. There will be some pretty good players around there, even if we have to sit on them for a year (like Portland did with Travis Outlaw).

Also you know Isiah will be scouting heavily as we have 2 first rounders. He's going to workout everyone under the sun. Also, Malik makes KT redundant. He's not quite the shooter KT is but he handles the ball better and can actually beat bigger guys off the dribble and dunk it now and then. Plus we have JYD and Mo.

If you trade KT for Spoon, the Rockets #1 and a future #2 you can just waive Spoon's $6mm and the Knicks still save money because of KT's longer contract and the cheap rookie scale.

Someone thinks Isiah might actually waive a player with an expiring contract!

The more I think about it, the more I think that KT is perfect for TMac and Yao.

He is a 4 who needs to be guarded cause of his 15-18' shot. That is tough when you also have 2 guards who can shoot the ball and TMac driving to the rim. And then Yao does not get double so often.

Man, Houston, give us #23!

Very true Martin. KT would be a perfect fit in either Houston or SA as well becuase of the penetration would free up Kurt for 18 footers leaving Duncan with single coverage as well. I can see JVG wanting to have Kurt back as he fits his style alot better then Howard does. I think this deal is a real possibility.

there aren't many guys out there like Kurt all the younger ones are signed like Etan Thomas etc..so after getting eliminated they might consider it
I bet Houston wishes they traded for KT
