Hakim Warrick is a player who i think could be great in the right situation and terrible in a bad one. what about drafting Warrick, starting him along side tim thomas at the fowards and then, using sweetney in a deal over the summer for a center such as chandler, curry, mb dalembert etc..
now b4 evryone jumps on me, hear me out..
tim thomas is 6-10 240lbs, and is built like a very athletic pf, i have read numerous articles by scouts and such that tim is better suited as a pf were he would be tremendously more athletic than everyone he plays on a nightly basis.
with this idea the knicks would have a line-up of marbury, crawford, warrick, thomas, and lets say 4 now mb, tyson chandler in a deal involving sweets. the knicks could play a very up-tempo style and be the eastern confrence versio of the suns, and infact b better defensivly as warrick is a good defender, but in this style its more for offense on the break.
on trading sweetney, i know its not something a lot of people here want to do but a good young center is much harder to find then a pf, and i think if the opportunity to get a chandler, dalembert, or curry comes the knicks need to take it.
this could make the knicks, long, athletic, exciting, and actually GOOD. with the right coach this could in my opinion get the knicks back in the hunt, in the east.
thoughts?
