from here on out,

sweets gets 35 mins
ariza gets 25+ mins
marbury < 35 mins
butler 10 mins

if that doesn't happen - then something is philosophically wrong with the organization.

I think they'll do that if we loose the next 2 road games.

If we win, I dout it. It's only human to hold on to hope. I mean you can't just tell all the verterans on the team to go loose out there. You'll get what happened in Portland with there mess.

Then again, Telfair will come along so much faster now.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

i'm not asking veterans to lose, i'm asking for less minutes out of malik, mo, marbury and kurt and more minutes for the young'ns. if we continue to win, great, that means our young'ns are good. if we continue to lose, great, that means we get a better pick.

this is turning out to be a WASTED season (as i shake my head)...

I want TT to get his stats up to increase his trade value. We've already seen enough from Ariza to know that we need to keep him in the organization long-term. It's not like these next few games will be crucial to our evaluation of him. I wouldn't complain if Sweetney got 35 minutes, but I think he'll foul out before then anyway. I also wouldn't mind the tough love approach where he has to lose fat to earn minutes. Giving Marbury less than 35 minutes makes a lot of sense. As might as well save his body. Giving Butler some minutes--maybe even just 6 mpg--would be very nice.

we are not traing Tim Thomas. TT has made a huge comeback. right now TT is an impact player playing with aggression. Hes playing like he did at the end of last season, even better. yeah, hes not perfect, but right now how could you get equal value for tim? I think he's proven enough here to hold on to and se if we can extend him for 3 years 22.5MM. Even if he plays great, he will never get a contract like he had again, even if he averaged 20 points for the year.

but I hear he never shows up during the 1st half of the season. I've been told to not fall for it. I would definitely resign TT if he plays like this for an entire season.

its just more reason to not trade him in the offseason. If he comes out and plays like Tiny Tim during the 1st half of the season then trade him or just let his contract expire. It's quite simple but I'm going to wait until next season to jump on the TT bandwagon

TT sucks, he is having a great strech, big deal.

Earlier we were reluctant to trade Mohammed cause he was putting up big numbers. Don't be fooled by this meaningless late season surge.

No way I want to TT to be on this team for any longer then his current deal runs. And if we can move him, do it, even if we only get a project player or a pick out of it.

I would've also liked seeing him play well against a good team which rarely ever happens.

TT played well enough one first half of the season to be an all star.

he was rejuvenated coming to new york and then got devastating family news...he's fully recovered and will be giving us these numbers on a regular basis.

In the pre-season he went beserker in a game...so we know it had to be a combination of the coach (lenny is jump shooter guard coaching) and his family issues.

With a coach like herb that understands the importance of getting the ball in the post (and Phil Jackson for that matter) he is once again excelling.

He's not getting traded.

when we are eliminated, see his minutes diminish, but had he not been in foul trouble last night, he would have hung 45 on them and we would have won.

Timmy is back.

Say good-bye to Kurt and Penny. Say hello to a (starting) combo shooting guard and a shot blocking center.

We're not trading TT? How many expiring contracts has Isiah chosen to not trade, Briggs? Let's not ignore the past when making predictions. If you think he's gonna put up better #s next year than this year, then you trade him at some point during the year next year. I could see that happening at least.

BTW, let's not ignoring that opposing SFs are shooting 56% against him.
