I'm curious as sh.. to know exactly what his actual plan is. This guy is all over the place, it' like he's making trades to see if it wrks, like he's drawing a diagram and then erasing it saying to himself, "naa thats not going to wrk ". It's like he's going in circles, contradicting himself. His whole endorsment of marburys coments turned this team into turmoil, the firing/retiring lenny, "the We want Phil Jakson campaign", the allan should reitire rants, even being half way cross the globe in the teams worst stretch in god knows how long.

He talks wonderful about a guy then trades him with out a word( maybe marbs is the first to know). The subliminal messages he sends out by having a .500 team at best.
I mean all these things have contributed greatly to this ridiculous 2004/2005 knick season. Look know futher then IT, he even hired a phsycian to over rule the teams head trainer (for the last decade, who has misdiaignose every player that layed across his table). Why not just fire the guy. The brendon malone thing, I can go on and on but whats the purpose, Is there even a philosophy here, or is every thing on a whim, because It's surely looking like it.

That's basically it. He's trying to get guys here that fit. Is that different than any other GM? Isiah seems to be just as aggressive as any other GM that is trying to put together a winning club.

I don't understand the confusion.

Kevin Mchale ruined the T-wolves by doing that illegal deal with Joe Smith. He wound up trading Joe anyway. Danny Ainge trades Walker then trades for him back. Things happen.

What is so confusing about Isiah?
He said Nazr was the key to the Tim Thomas trade for KVH......ok so Nazr didn't play consistant enough so Isiah turned him into Malik Rose, who has proved how important of a player he is to have around, and 2 first round draft picks....Not bad.
People were down on Mo Taylor but dude has been nothing but consistant whenever Herbs gets him good minutes. He only cost the franchise Baker and Moochie.

This team is not ready yet. Neither is anybody else not named Detroit, San Antonio, Pheonix, or whoever the contender is. All the other teams might as well tank their seasons too.

Go Knicks.

he's made a lot of lateral trades searching for some chemistry. Some good, some bad. Its all going to come down to the draft. If he gets us young players we can build around the next couple of years he will be successfull. If he doesnt he will just be another guy that added a ton of cash and accomplished nada.

I think whenever he approaches a team about a trade they ask for sweets or Kurt...so he figured we'd add a couple more pf's to accomodate their requests.

Penny is definitely gone, TT is staying until the trading deadline and if we are winning, he stays.

It's a toss up which pf stays...Rose, Mo, Sweet, Kurt...but I'm almost positive Kurt is gone.

I see a Kurt/Penny trade for a shot blocking center and he takes a serious run at a bona fide veteran SG..but not too serious.

Then it's draft city.

We entertain the thought of jackson, but in the end, we stay with Herb for another year.

Next year we win 45 games and get bounced in the second round...unless...
all kool aid all the time.

Why can't Isiah be allowed three years to transform the franchise?

Why is the pressure on him to suceed IMMEDIATELY with EACH transaction?

What NBA adminstrator makes deals that everyone agrees with?

Isiah knows what he's dong and he's worked harder than any GM in recent Knicks history to change the culture of the francvvhise. No one is suggesting that he is perfect. What I want to know is why must he be perfect?

The unanimously negative reviews Isiah absorbed over the Imfamous Draft Day deals (that have only IMPROVED the team, were off the charts.

Why the extra scrutiny?

Why can't he be allowed three years to do his job?

that is exactly what he is doing, he is trying a ton of things, trying to find the right combinations especially with the lack of flexibility we have..

As far as him talking guys up and trading them, that is smart, I mean is he supposed to devalue them and then try to trade them for top value? I mean layden made spree look like a complete pariah(although spree played a big part in that) by banishing him from the team, and then tried to tade him, guess what we got back in return? not exactly top value..

What he's doing seems pretty obvious. He's trying to get younger and more athletic by using expiring contracts and draft picks. If you expect 100% of his moves to make sense immediately to message board posters, you haven't followed any GM closely because no GMs moves always make sense to posters.

Danny Ainge is good proof of that! boston fans and nba fans in general were killing him. Now he put together the best team in the Atlantic
