assuming these guys come ou..

I think bogut, marvin williams, paul, green, taft leaving us splitter, vazquez, petro, Andriuskevicius, villanueva, warrick,& CJ Miles.

I will be happy with any of those guys and the possibility of trading Kurt for another 1st rd pick and picking another one of those guys then picking garcia, stoudamire, robinson, ewing, fernandez, hodge, Frye, Blatche with the later picks.

I'd put Lawrence Roberts ahead of Williams. I'd take Vasquez over Splitter.. Taft is the great unknown and not a center. He's a power forward. Bogut a PF is a joke.

I don't know about that with the current make-up of the NBA. I saw taft standing next to Emeka and Charlie V two years ago and he appeared to be taller than EO and maybe a shade under CV. I would say he probably averages 6-10 1/2 in shoes somewhere in the 260 range now. I think that was one of his problems. I think he put on weight, but didnt put it on well. right now 6-10 1/2 260 is probably an NBA C right now. If you put him next to those Spanish players, Id bet he would look noticeably thicker.

Tiago's measurements :

6' 10.25" w/o shoes
6' 11.75" w/shoes
233 lbs
7' 2" wingspan
9'1.5" standing reach

thats a lot different than having a Chris Wilcox-like 6'10'' Center who's really a PF. Taft does have more offensive potential than wilcox though

If we can somehow get Splitter or Petro and Hakim Warrick and Simien in the second round, I would almost wet my pants on the spot!

KT/Butler/Splitter
Sweetney/Simien
TT/Ariza/Warrick
Craw/Ariza
Steph/Penny

Sweets, TT, Penny, KT all are expendable, almost must get rid of types because of the depth....you can clear up some contracts pretty quickIf you package Sweets with Penny and KT with TT...

I meant grabbing Simien in the second round, the other two in the first round....these projection from draft city had Simien going at #35

exactly my point which is why i refuse to listen to anything Chris Ford has to say about the Knicks.
Come on man, its Chad Ford not Chris Ford.
Much like Pau Gasol and has great footspeed
Those reports have to be exaggerated because if his footspeed is anything like Pau's he will be gone MUCH before we can get him.

joe: I dont know if you already did but can you post your #1 choice for the Knicks draft pick in the 1st round?

nah dirk has footspeed Pau doesn't. He's a cross between the 2. Maybe not as good but I think at close to 7ft and mobile with skills he'll be A pretty good player.

he will problably be taken as late as Dirk was. What was Dirk the #9 pick right? splitter & vazquez will go somewhere between 7-9 hopefully one of them slips to #10-11 where we will most likely pick after Kurt returns and we start blowing games in the 4th quarter like we have ever since Kurt took over for ewing, oakley, camby. Our pick will be anywhere between #7-14 unless we get extremely lucky in the lottery, so we have a shot at those guys and if not Petro will be there.

Taft...Always has been, even though I am doing more research on other Guys, I think Taft is more of a center, which is why I think we would do great if we can draft Simien and Taft.

Thing is, I have fallen off the Sweets bandwagon recently because he has not performed as well as he should be performing. I mean everyone is bashing Taylor, and Sweetney, our top young big man has not been able to distance himself from Taylor at all. He is not getting to the line as much and he still looks like he gets winded out there very quickly. Not to mention he seems to be settling for that 15 footer a little too much for my tast. If we can Trade Sweets for another #1 and grab Joey Graham that would probably be my dream draft...Taft, Simien, Graham.

This thread posted a link to draft city that had Simien falling to the second round. I would be absolutely ecstatic if this was to happen!

because Sweetney is tiring out. He really needs to get in shape. But he has skills and huge hands. He's just not there psychically. And unless he works his butt off in the summer and gets in shape then I wont mind trading him for a good player.

As I said before, this draft is exactly the type of Draft to get alot of picks...alot of guys, especially younger kids will come out. That age limit will scare alot of people into declaring, IMO
