Channing Frye might not be a bad option. He had another solid game to help Arizona advance to the Elite Eight. He's 6-11, 248lbs and blocks 2.2 shots per game playing in a tough conference and he's showing up at the tournie.

I don't know if he'd be available at the 28th pick, but if these crazy kids make the playoffs and Petro is out of range, he may be someone to think about at 15.

Draft the best player available, regardless of position.

Draft the best player available, regardless of position.
and what happens in our position if two PFs are the BPA on the board? Have 9 PFs?

What I think will happen is they will make a list of the top 3 players on the board of we are lottery winners, which is where you take the BPA.
If we are down at 9-10-11-12 they are probably going to target 3-4 players that make sense for the club then fill their board down the list to 29-30. If we get who we want at the first pick and then a player ranked 14th falls to 29, for instance, lets say wayne simien fell to 29, then i would agree to take the player and ask questions later. then of course the pick at 29 could be used as a guarantee and lastly if the board stays on course, they would probably take a player of need over a player of duplication if one is ranked 26 and the other is ranked 30
there coule be a number of players taken at 29, for instance robinson, salim stoudemire, louis williams and then of course you could have a player who is ranked high who falls into your lap. we just say names here. we cant guarantee any player we mention here will even be available. You'd hope to walk out with an athletic 7 footer and atleast a back up PG/combo G that made sense

I think the draft is the best place to get this 6'11"/7-foot shot blocker we all covet. Petro and Frye seem to be decent options since Bogut and Taft most likely aren't options anymore.

I'd like to grab a SG with size with the 28/29 pick. Julius Hodge might be there. Otherwise, yeah, best available at 28/29.

But I think the first pick, we have to either get a guard or really big man. I like Warrick, but how many forwards can we have?

can we please start addind vazquez and splitter to these bigman shotblocking wishlists instead of the Loren Woods, curtis borchartds of the world.

both of them are on every single mock draft I think its safe to say they will be picked somewhere in the 1st round if not in the top 10

I'm saying if we're not in the top ten. Also, from what I've seen of these guys, they don't have any toughness to their game. Vasquez has more than Splitter, I guess. Also, I've never seen them play and can't find stats for them. If you can find stats, let me see!

Frankly, I'd be wary of drafting a Splitter or Vasquez with such a high pick. Remember when people projected Lampe in the lotto?

yeah but there were questions of Lampe's footspeed and defensive.Every scouting report marvels at splitter's footspeed and ability to score from anywhere on the floor and the same with the reports on vazquez in regards to being a great shotblocker and Zeke loved him more than anyone when he spent 2weeks in Europe. Another reason to not overlook the possibility of a Nene-like foreign stud center on next year's Knicks team.
