Insider's Top Five Prospects
1. Jason Williams Jr. PG Duke
The consensus No. 1 player in the draft. Will have an immediate impact.

2. Yao Ming N/A C Shanghai Sharks
The 7-foot-5 big man has all the skills. But can he take the physical nature of the NBA?

3. Mike Dunleavy, Jr. Jr. SF Duke
Prototypical NBA small forward. Has the skills, but will he return to Duke?

4. Qyntel Woods So. SF Northeast Mississippi
The JUCO star is being compared to Tracy McGrady. Stock has skyrocketed the last month.

5. Drew Gooden Jr. SF/PF Kansas
Has the height, fundamentals and the athleticism to dominate. Needs to put on some muscle.

I really hope Dunleavy declares because that will likely make either Drew Gooden or Dejuan Wagner be available for us. We still have a shot at one of them, but it's no guarentee. I hope Chris Wilcox comes out as well. Someone that should definitely stay in school is Marcus Hatten. He has great potential, but i'm confident one more year will do him that much better and he'll lead St. John's a good ways into the tournament which will definitely lift his stock. I think he can be a Baron Davis type player with his solid all-around game and instant scoring mind set. I'm not sure if Marcus Taylor coming out was the best decision, but he'll still be a very solid first round pick. I'm also hoping Jared Jeffries comes out so he can act as insurance for us incase we can't get one of our top choices. Sort of the same with Wilcox.

I really don't think Mike Dunleavy is all that good... It's a known fact that alot of Duke players that go to the draft are extremely over-rated... Personally I think Dunleavy will be a prototypical Laetner... That's just my opinion...

For what it's worth Dunleavy doesn't have the talent Williams, Wagner, and Gooden have. The one advantage with Dunleavy is he is a son of a coach. In other words, he's fundamentally sound and he's a solid all-around player that makes smart decisions. He's also a pure shooter which are harder to come by. Thats probably why he will be a great player in the league someday.
