Strange but true....The Knicks under Herb are showing signs of a good team...In the playoffs last season, TT got destroyed while all of our players just stood around and watched..However, last night, it appears like everyone stood up and showed the world that this team does have a back bone....Marb stepped in and got on Davis for talking trash to Jamal, etc...All that will addup when it matters the most...Perhaps it is the addition of Malik and others, or the substraction of Anderson and others, or better yet, the dismissal of Lenny, but whatever it is, our boys are showing some big cojoles....

Way to go Knicks, represent N.Y

I can't help wondering what the Knicks' record would be if they'd made those two trades a month earlier. The team's playing much better with Malik and Mo Taylor. It's probably more attributable to Malik than to Mo. I think Malik's a better player than Nazy (forget the fact that we got two late 1st rd picks as well).

That is the only thing I am mad at Isiah about...He should have pulled the trigger when he had the chance last season...We perhaps would have been a much better squad from beginning to now....We were a horrendous defensive team even last season...We should have kept Herb at the helm after the dismissal of Chaney and definitely traded Kurt for Malik when we had the chance...

i can't help wondering what the knicks' (btw, nice and correct use of the apostrophe bonn) record would be if, oh, you know, TIM THOMAS SHOWED UP THE FIRST 4 MONTHS OF THE SEASON!!!

i think malik has helped but the aggressiveness and play of tim is the real reason we've won more close games than lost recently.

Correction, yes TT's play as of late is a factor, but the biggest reason why we are a different squad is because of Herb...A team without an identity is a really bad team. As you can see, when Lenny was around, the Knicks were terrible....Now, we are keeping teams from scorring 100 points...Woww, who do you attribute that too?? Herb is a defensive minded coach who has watched one of the legend of our era (Pat Riley) coach basketball fundamentals the right way...He patterned some of his coaching abilities after Pat, and perhaps copied some of the offensive things that he learned from Lenny....Lenny might have been a horrible coach during game time, but he knew the game inside out...His philosophies were just outdated and needed a makeover...

i understand what you're saying but there were WAY too many close losses during lenny's tenure when tim was starting and putting up 5-8 point nights. if tim was averaging 15/5 during nov/dec, we'd be 20-9 instead of 16-13.

What about Crawford not taking so many shots? Playing under control? Marbs handling the ball less? Reezy has games like last nite? Less JYD (sorry Dido), Limited Sweets, and inside post with Mo. T!

These things along with a rejuvinated TT helps. Herb is growing up fast and the team is playing better. Im still not sold on him over Phil, but he should continue to get consideration. I hope he watches that fat little snitch Suhr not undercut him! Bring in Patrick as assistant?

The biggest thing, is TT, marbs, and Craw all in their career been insconsistant. And you know what, so have we!

I agree about TT also. I suspect the Knicks would be the .530 team they were last year with Steph, TT, etc. Maybe slightly lower because the east has improved and closer to .500.

I don't get the apostrophe coimment. Were you just complimenting me or was it a sarcastic remark?

most people don't use the asterisk AFTER the "s" when it's really called for.

Rose's impact has been WAAAAAAY greater then Muhammad. Rose has brought some things this team seriously needed. He is a huge reason the team is playing team ball consistantly. They showed flashes before but getting him has them doing it on a more consistant basis. Him and JYD are good influences on Ariza & Crawford & Butler and Sweetney and even Marbury.

I would love to know the motivational technique Herb used to get Craw to stop being stupid with the ball...I can make millions selling it!
