I just checked nbadraft.net and realized that the Knicks traded away their 2nd round pick to Atlanta in the Tim Thomas deal. Oh well. We still have two 1st rounders.

Nothing new, the second round pick we had this year was Houston's.
All I want to know is, was the 2nd round pick we gave back to Houston in the Mo Taylor deal theirs this year or one of our future 2nd rounders?

I really don't understand how people get the notion that the sky is falling down because the Knicks lost 2 second round picks. I agree with Bon, add 2 first round picks to that list. You guys honestly really can not complain about that. I think everyone also feels that Isiah is going to try and add another first round pick in this upcoming draft too. Hey I'm not the biggest Mo T supporter but you guys are making the Mo T trade into something much worse then it really is.

If you really want to be correct we traded the #2 pick for nazr whom we resent for 2 #1 picks. Thomas was traded for van horn.

If you really want to get technical, I believe it was reported that we sweetened the deal by giving a 2nd rounder to Atlanta, so that they would cut Doleac in order for us to re-sign him. Of course, Denver stepped in the way of that.

I never heard that story before. I knew we wanted to re-sign Doleac, but I never heard that the 2nd rd pick was related to it.

I don't believe that. Doleac for nazr is not fair even up , a #2 evens it out. Atlanta did it to get rid of salary .

Yup; after Marbury elevated Nazy's game he became the best player of the four involved in the trade. I wouldn't use the word "funny" but it is impressive how much Marbury elevates other players' games.

They're a lot higher than the two second round picks Isiah has given up that the Isiah critics are obsessed with. A pick around 28 is much better than a pick in the mid 40s! Isn't that obvious?
