Vince Carter is silently working to get the Nets to the playoffs...He has been carying this team on his shoulder since his arrival...It would truly be a blow in the face if the Nets makes it to the playoffs and we don't....After all, Carter should have been a Knicks...

I think that Isiah has been blackballed.....He had the inside track at getting Vince, but the Raptors wanted to punish Carter by sending him to a team with a bad record at that time....For what they got from the Nets, they could have done better by dealing with the Knicks, but Carter had specifically requested to go to the Knicks, and that wasn't going to fly with the Raptors....Our time will come, and we will make them all pay soon or later....

no I think Isiah just offered too little, the Nets sent them 2 first round picks at least while Isiah offered them nothing, I can't blame the Raptors who the hell wants Penny or Allan Houston?

yep instead of saving those picks he wasted them on Stephon Marbury, while Stephon makes his teams worse and then better when he leaves, Vinsanity at 100% carries teams on his back, its unbelievable, what a player.

is this the reason why the raptors have been playing better since vince has been gone? Is this why historically the raptors have played better in vince's absence? come on man be for real...

exactly thats why I said at 100%, he was tanking it up there in Toronto, thats pretty obvious, now he's carrying the Nets on his back, if he can lead them into the playoffs wow what an accomplishment.

Wrong; the Nets are the only team that got better after Marbury left and that's because he was replaced by the best PG in the game at the time. After Marbury left it took the T-Wolves about five years just to get out of the 1st round and the Suns had a worse record last year after he left than with him.

And how long will it be till he''ll be tanking in NJ? When he doesn't get his way on somehting? When his mother is unhappy about how her little baby is being portrayed? I am SO glad we don't have Wince on our team!

Yea i'm sure you wouldn't take a 28 year old avg'ing 26 points 6 rebounds and 5 assists a game. And has the ability to take over any game at any time.

I'd agree with both of you. I'd gladly take Vince, but it's a reasonable question of how long until he tanks again. You just don't know what you'll get from him, but the potential is amazing. If you have a team that can even just make the playoffs, I think he'd be able to fully focus for a 6 week period and be very scary in the playoffs.

Rod Thorn is a great exec. He parlayed Kenyon into Vince. Luck, what ever, it happened. If he can get some size this summer, Nets are right back in it.

The issue is not whether the Nets start tanking; it's whether Vince gets dissatisfied and starts tanking.

Number one what is the difference between Vince tanking and Marbury, Crawford, and TT playing half ass defense the entire season, not boxing out, or getting a hand in someones face...

Vince for Crawford, Thomas, and Nazy would have made us a better team, and given us more flexibility in the offseason....I think Vince is a top 10 player, he is better than Marbury, and if you paired the two together it would be the most potent offense in the league, I am sure we could have still move Baker for Rose, because it was a cap dump situation.......

It was a missed oppurtunity....It would have given Sweetney and Ariza more minutes and their are worse things to happen the JYD playing major mintues......

We have a nice team, that should be in the playoffs but they have played half hearted all season and not really but forth the necesarry effort, they choke when it matter.....

And are you comparing the Marbury trade from last year, Bonn you say some stupid stuff, who did they have to use in that trade after Marbury went to NY, Eisley, Dice was hurt and they tanked the season on purpose, now they are one of the better teams in the league, because they are team orientated

Nets win..Vince plays hard. I doubt if Nets are 10 games over .500 next year..Vince will get dissatisfied. Nets are 1 PF and couple solid bench guys away from being back at top of the east with Heat and Pistons.
