anyone who still wouldn't have made that trade?

He's not just one of the best big man shooters in the league, one of the best big man shooters of all time. Not many 6'9 or taller guys who can spot up and shoot the 3 as well as this guy.

And Jalen's contract expired the same year as Taylor and Allan Houston

Isiah should've really pursued this trade instead of the Taylor trade. I would've given the our 29th pick and the 2nd rd pick we gave up for Taylor if we had to!

I think it was at the time and a draft pick or future draft pick would've gotten it done imo or even adding crawford or TT and takings on Carter's big contract too.

I essence it would've been a lot better than taking on Taylor's which expires around the same time. none of the contracts would've lasted past Allan Houston's.

I was for that trade when it was proposed and I would be for it now...but I would only trade the second rounder.

not sure that would be enough. it would problably take ariza or sweetney or at least the late 1st rounder

What difference would it have made? The Knicks still would haven't have won anything. Enough patchwork. It's time to blow this thing up.

This trade si a no brainer for the Knicks.....guys like us were lobying for this trade to happen but guys around here were talking about how much Rose sucks and how Marshall sucks.....Now that both guys are getting their regular minutes after the trading deadline guys wanna talk Penny and KT again.

I'm getting on gunsnewing....i'm getting on anybody that said this was a trade they would never do. Rose and Marshall would have made the Knicks so much better if they were on the team now.

wait what???? I was problably the #1 advocator of this trade!
other people were complaining about Jalen's contract for no reason since it expires soon! The same kinda people who feel we were going to strike gold by trading Baker & Mocchie in the offseason!

Dude i created this thread to prove that I was right about this being a great trade for the Knicks! It was others who bitched as usual! I created this thread to expose those who are anti adding talent because they don't want to wait 2 more years for contracts to expire. Instead we have the "great" Mo Taylor" instead of Jalen/Marshall now!

Donyell is an option for the MLE--perhaps 3-4 years of it because he is probably the BPA who is a UFA and would not be able to command more than that.

the thing that scks that i keep coming back to is this frikin mo taylor stupidity. we have to get rid of someone!

every PF/SF other than Micheal Sweetney would be gladly benched for Donyell Marshall.

Toronto turned down this trade because Penny + Kurt equal MORE money than Jalen + Donyell over the life of the contracts.

Anyone would have wanted this trade: we get more talent and less overall money. That's why it didn't happen.

Toronto also got two first round picks for Vince, something the Knicks DID NOT have to offer at that time (can't trade picks in back to back years, etc). So that's why that never happened.

These were cute rumors but not based in reality whatsoever. But I guess that never stops anyone here.
