this is one avenue where i thought the mo taylor trade kind of made no sense.

we can say this guy is this, undersized, but eric williams is very close to being the exact same size as eddie curry. hes just as athletic and hes MAN size 6-9 290. not hes not shot blocker and yes we have a beefy pF in Sweetney, but wouldnt this be a decent option if we TRADED down for two picks?

weve mentioned this guy from time to time, but once that trade was pulled off you kind of go another way, thinking is that he is between 4-5. but was is a C anymore?

Hes not sweetney or tractor traylor because hes actually athletic and probably very under-rated.

you need BEEF to win and he has athletic beef and strength

I'm sorry, but do we need to pull out that thread from a few years ago where you were begging us to draft him?

Agreed, but at the same time some of us pretend that we do.

Mike Sweetney was a solid pick and he's a good player who should get better. He's was the best pick at 9 that made sense.

one of our main conudrums is the ability to get a force inside. This guy is a little bigger than Mike, yet would be considered a smallish C in height. this guy is much more eddie curry than anyone else, he's got the same athletiscm as Curry, he's vastly under-rated and frankly there are no C

He's got a good first step jump off the floor for 290 pounds, I just dont see the options. Im thinking trade down to see if we can get 2 fast athletic guards and another huge horse in the middle.

i mean this guy is a man, and could be a force inside.

no need for another 6'9''guy when Butler is already on the roster and is an inch taller which makes him officially a center whereas williams is a PF problably with less upside.

More presriptions for perpetual mediocrity, which is what Isiah's "plan" seems destined to do.

I'd take a flyer only if we trade Sweetney or there is absolutely no other option for us at center...

so now we are suppose to abandon the chandler/curry summer sweepstakes just show the rest of the nba how many pfs ny can stack on one roster

what year do you suppose ny should show interest in a bonafide 7' center

if our off season acquisitions are not correct somebody may find themselves in deep kimchi

i hate to say this, but there is 0 chance we get Tyson Chandler or Eddie Curry. you have to look at things with reality. they both are restricted, meaning they will both likley get lucrative offers. were just not in that game

we can bring up jamal Crawford, but no team wanted jamal, and we can say that Jamal may have been over compensated a tad. a big man is a different story. big men always get premiums, thats the market.

we have ABSOLUTELY no chance at getting dalembart Curry or Chandler and right now the wizards are still offering kwame 4 years 30$, on top of that, I think Kwame may have a bit of a screw loose.

two things we need athletic Gs and more force under the basket if we want to compete.

get rid of jyd or malik--one or the other has to go because they are cklose to the same frikin thing!

no but a Brian Skinner type would be helpful or dare I say it even Steven Hunter in a worst case scenario. then we can draft a SG like Green and Fazekas.

or sign can sign a SG for the MLE and draft a center like Bogut, splitter, Andriuskevicius, vazquez or Petro

No more short Centers. No More PFs.

6'11" and under need not apply.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

lets make the requirement 6'10 since Olajuwon and Zo are 6'10 and Jackie Butler.

having a center who is only 6'9 and under is a recipe for disaster unless you're Ben Wallace and blocks a gazillion shots a game and has the 6'11 rasheed playing next to you

it's either superathletic 6'9'' (swift) or strong 7 footer (traditional center) or superathletic 7 footer (camby style). let's get someone who fits one of the above 3 body types.

Williams had one of the most clutch blocks I've ever seen in Wake's game last night. At the time, it saved the game and sent it to double Ot where Paul fouled out.

Williams is a very good player.

Can people PLEASe stop mentioning Jackie Butler like he matters AT LEAST until they see him PLAY A GAME OF BASKETBALL. Cot damn.
