this team has 0% chance to get to playoffs we will not win 75% of our games and other teams(ind,phil,njn....) start losing games like crazy.
we need to get playing time to our younger guys(ariza,sweet...) and lose some games we had a chance to win with other guys on the floor.
since we are not going to the playoffs its in our best interest to have as bad record as we can to be a better team (playoff team-top of the atlantic team)next season.
we can be next year's "suns" like the suns we will be one of worst teams in the league this year but next year with some smart offseason moves we can be a top team in the east....and that's our goal should be!

good draft position(trade up?)
get a top 20 player (trade exp. contracts for him)
good MLE (PF,C)

just so you know TT/Penny have virtually no value until after next year's trading deadline. Sowe will most likely start the year with them and if would be wise unless you want to rush it and get players like shandon,eisely,spoon in the offseason.

Before the Mo/Rose trades, I thought the best move would be to use the expiring deals of Nazr/Baker/Moochie in an offseason trade, use one of TT/Penny at the deadline, and let the other one expire. Now, the team dosne't have as much flexibility, which to me is the biggest downside of these trades (especially the taylor trade)

Unless Dolan is willing to "flip" both TT and Penny's deals and keep a +100mm payroll into perpetuity, I agree the best move is to be smart with the draft/MLE in the offseason, and wait until the deadline to move TT or Penny when hopefully 1 or more teams are having a fire sale and we can extract maximum value.
