why in the world are people still talking about this cat? he is, as far as I am concerned, done and over with...The media needs to stop talking about this cat, because it is very irritating to remember that he raped the Knicks about 20 millions just to sit on the freaking bench....If possible, can he be barred from sitting on the bench? because just seing out there piss me off...Isiah needs to find him a job as a scout or shooting coach or something. All that money we are paying him, he needs to at least produce at some capacity...When HE feels ready to comeback, than give him a try, but let's stop hoping that this dude will be around...He is one of the main reason why our team is as horrible as it is...

You start a new thread on a player to complain that people are talking too much about him?

Yeah I was annoyed to see his name in the Topic box.

He's pretty much an after thought. Isiah has to act like Houston isn't on the team and just go on with his basketball duties.

Houston can't be traded and he can't be bought out......it's just a crazy situation. Even when Houston was in top form it was the same situation. Houston raped the Knicks.

If he wanted to win a championship he would have taken at least 80 mill instead of 100mill. The difference would have made it easier to build around him. I guess he left that decision in God's hands.

Now he is Tariq Abdul-Wahad times 4!!!!!

Again, find Houston a job in another capacity with the organization instead of as a player, at the end, the Knicks will be the winner...Isiah had all of the right ideas, but Lenny failed him by mid-season...Lenny should have gone with the lineup that we have on the court right now with Nazr as our backup PF and Sundov as backup Center...He should have used Penny as our starting SG with Crawf backing him up and Marb....Trevor and JYD should have been on the court a lot more during Lenny's tenure, but that wasn't the case

The $20 mil is a huge figure, which is why it's so overblown. Houston didn't write his own contract, or even threaten to leave the team if they didn't pay him. It was given to him by Checketts/Dolan. No sympathy for the organization here. Allan did the best he could for himself. It's not his fault they made a bad business decision.

But look at it this way. What would have been a fair contract? (at that time) Sprewell money? TT/Penny money? What if houston was making $13-15 mil instead of $20. Would it really change anything? With 3 years still left on his contract, he'd be just as untradeable as he is now. And it's not like the cap situation would be any different either. We're screwed till 07 either way.

Allan was one of my favorite players a few years back, and it sucks that he's hurt and can't perform as he used to. I'd love to see him on the court again, but I wouldn't mind seeing him retire if he really can't play anymore. But to blame him for all this team's woes is ridiculous
