This guy has cost us 2 games already, he has been played extensively in the 4 against both Seattle and Heat and was terrible.

While Sweetney remained nailed to the bench.

Anybody see a pattern here? Play Sweetney build a lead, then stick with Mo I suck Taylor, and choke.

Thank IT for the awesome trade.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

did Mo play in the 4th? if he did I didn't notice and i agree Sweetney is the key. For whatever reason he's not allowed to play during 4th quarters!

that was a major reason we collapsed in the Seattled game too!

Mo Taylor doesnt suck, there's just no logical reason to play him over 10mins at the end of quarters. Definitely not in the 4th quarter over Sweetney!

why not creat a "sweetney fouls too much, therefore taylor has to play more"...thread.....

Well, I haven't been able to see the last few games due to the blackouts, so I can only rely on stats. But according to 82games.com, Taylor has the highest +/- ranking, by far, of any Knick for the past month (not including the Seattle and Miami games, so these stats might be considerably different by now). Taylor is +16.0; next highest is JYD at +12.7, and JC comes in a distant third at +6.6.

He's a role player that doesn't have a role, Herb struggles down the stretch just like his team..He does'nt play sweetny that much down the stretch because he makes 2 many mistakes, but how moronic is it to play ariza who's totally out of control especially when you have a solid player/defender in rose...WoW..

Reminds me of chaney in his first game as knicks haed coach. he put charlie ward in to guard J oneal with 6 seconds in a game and were up by 1 or 2 points.

By the way, for the past month, Sweetney is -2.3.

what these stats don't tell you is how Jamal costs us so many games when he hoists quicks 3's in the clutch

a big reason we we collapsed in the 4th quarter after leading all game at least 20 times this season.

C'mon, you're way too all-over-the-place with your tormented Knick soul. I know it hurts, but what's the point of barging into every thread complaining about the Knicks killer du jour, whether it's Herb's substitution patterns or Jamal's shot selection or whatever?

These stats don't tell me what Mo Taylor's favorite movie is. But I'm pretty sure they tell me that Mo does not suck, and in fact, Herb has been wise (or at least, has not been unwise) to give Mo (+16) crucial 4th quarter minutes instead of Sweetney (-2.3).

so wise that we had 2 straight collapses because of our inability to stop teams

So Sweetney is a defensive stopper now? We ARE still talking about the virtues of Michael Sweetney vs. Mo Taylor, right?

Bottom line... if you have one guy who's been giving you +16 recently, and another who's been giving you -2.3, it's certainly not unreasonable to play the +16 guy for the important minutes.
