You do thrust ups by taking a chair,put just your right foot on the chair, then use your right foot on the chair to thrust yourself up then in midair switch your left foot with your right foot and come down with your left foot on the chair, then thrust yourself up again off your left foot this time and land with your right foot on the chair and you have done one thrust up.
As for burn outs, I think that is when you just jump up and down on the front of your toes.
