Livingston's their PG of the future...doubt they'd make that trade...how about Maggette for JC & the lottery pick?

I'd love to get a guy like Korver in here, but I don't see Philly letting him go.

I'd try to sign Rush...I think he could be a good back up SF if we trade TT. (And or start)
I thought the sloagan was All Ball, not All Lottery.

I'd do that, but I am worried about his development. If we can get him for really cheap, then that's good. He has talent though.

what if Ray Allen sours of seattle and crawford wants to play back in seattle? Could we package Crawford, TT (he seems to have a problem with ray ray) or possibly send over penny (tt is playing better at home) for ray ray and Antonio Daniel (backup pg)

I'd be willing to part with crawford to get the experience in Ray Allen.

Ray Allen is on ludes. He is an Allan Houston waiting to happen. He's going to be 30 and he wants a secondary max contract 5 y-90mm seattle offered him 133mm per and he declined. fck ray allen, hes very one dimensional, hes had knee problems and he is over-pricing himself.

I wouldn't trade Crawf for Ray. I love Ray, and he's my fav player outside the Knicks, but it seems like he has lost a couple of steps, and I have a feeling that after the next season or 2, he will be on the downhill of his career. He's 30 now. Crawfish is 25. I will stick with him for now. However, I do like that Maggette trade.

Jamal crawford is atrocious when he's not taking 21 shots a game and only hitting 8 of them.

We're at our best when he doesn't shoot at all. He's a 6th man at best

Craw is learning the game......He's not in Ray Allen's league right now. Neither was Hughes until this season. It took Maggette 4 seasons. Craw might come back next season ready for war.....or not. Ray Allen is at the stage of his career where he wants to win a championship.

This is where all the youth talk stops, you know? Trading Craw would open talk how Isiah is trading youth again for a guy in his prime. Still....Ray is a different player. I can see him putting on some Clyde Drexler heroics while wearing a Knick uniform.......Craw will be missed cuz he's a likeable player/person but his talent can be found in other places.

I tell you what though if Ray Allen becomes Knick Tim Thomas is surely out of here. Hopefully for another big piece.

what about Willie Green as a lower priced option? it would be hard for Isiah to get Hughes, Maggette, Allen, Johnson or Redd because they all would require sign & trade type deals, or outright trades involving big dollar contracts...i think Green has some good upside, & he's young & athletic w/the ability to play D & match up w/more physical G's & some SF's as well.

Maggette is my top choice. Athletic, well built SG who is a 20 pts scorer who can also rebound the ball, get to the line a ton and play decent D. Will turn only 26 next season.

yeah, me too. Maggette would be ideal for this team. i'd also be very happy to get Hughes, but WAS obviously wants to hold onto him, so we might have to set our sights on alternative options...Bobby Simmons would be a nice addition, but the Clips want to keep him & i'm sure he probably wants to stay there as well considering he just had his best season as a pro...which is why i thought Willie Green might be a good option that's realistic as well, since a MLE type offer would be plenty enough to sign him now that Philly has taken on CWebb's contract longterm.

There is a 2G from Minnesota that jumped out at me this weekend. Very explosive, reminded me of a left handed Dwayne Wade by the name of Vincent Grier. I think he's one of those guys who could explode if Minnesota can get a 2-3 game run going and he might be in the draft anyway. He's built like a linebacker, really built like Wade very very muscular, yet fluid and powerful to the rim and very aggresive on the D. Looks like he needs work on his shot from what I saw, perhaps a polar opposite of Jamal Crawford, although just as elusive.

A stratgey that was very effective the Nets used was trading down to pick up multiple picks. I still think a 3-4 man draft that fills out the backend of our bench[instead of the dogs we had this year] makes more sense.

If we had to, I wouldnt mind trading down and coming out with a Granger, Fazekas and a Grier and see if a Nate Robinson would fall to our second rounder. Three very athletic skill players and a 7 footer who has a multi-faceted skill game. Young legs for the back end of the core and to fill the pipeline for the future. As we go along, names will change, ive fallen for Granger over Joey Graham, and this kid from Minnesota is a solid pro player at the 2 G and there arent many of them in this draft. If his shooting gets better[it isnt bad, but needs improvement] ill say watch out for this cat.

PF are no longer on my list and there are no C after Bogut. I still like Diaz a lot, but the differnce between this kid 6-5 and proably 215 and Diaz probably 6-1 180 is a lot of size. Grier can defend bigger players while Diaz could only defend the pGs.

I would say my list of players that I like is

in no order
McCants
Bogut
MWilliams
Rudy Gay
Granger
Graham
Jack
Grier
Warrick
Fazekas
Hassan Adams
N Robinson
JJ Reddick
Diaz
Felton
not including any HS players or college PF[because we have 14 of them]

so I have a fluid list of 15-16 guys

BRIGGS, you don't like Chris Taft from PIT? he's a Coney Island kid & he has back to the basket game from what i've read on him...his effort is questioned at times, but i think he's got star potential from what little i've seen of him play.

don't want to change the subject of this thread, but i just wondered why he didn't make your list.

I like him, i just missed putting him down. He needs to hone his skills a bit more, but he really is the only other C proepect worthy of a high pick IMHO.

yeah, i agree...i'd be happy if we ended up w/either him or Warrick w/our lottery pick.
(i don't see Bogut as a realistic option anyway)
