Sticky me......there are too many draft threads out there.

With a valiant effort by the Knicks they may just still be on the outside looking in at the playoffs.

So draft position.....The Knicks are currently #8. There will be a fleet of names available at that time. Who should the Knicks be looking at?

A guy no one mentioned yet is Charlie Villanueva. If dude stays in school one more year he would be easily considered a candidate to go #1. Kid is 6'11" with crazy mobility. He's a Odom clone. Plus the kid is fron BROOKLYN!!!!!

Danny Granger, Gomes, Channing Frye......there will be some big time college players available.

Sheldon Williams

They call him the "Landlord".

2003-2004: Incredible shot blocker; pretty good hands; good defensive rebounder; very powerful when attacking the rim; stronger than a lot of guys at his position; fair assortment of post moves to choose from; pretty good footwork; understands concept of waiting for double teams and whatnot.

Early 20's is where most mock drafts rank him.

I mentioned Villanueva probably too many times. I think he has the right makings of a all-star. He is a young Lamar Odom w/o the trouble background. I think Zeke is high on him. I know Riley is. But I think he will be gone by the time the Heat select.
Rarely do I like internationals but I think this crop is decent athletes including the big men and they are better defensively this year than in the past. I like Andriuskevicius, Vasquez, Tomas, and Petro. I think this crop has the best shot of living up to the hype as compare to the past foreigners.
As far as the college players you mention, I don't think they are lottery picks but solid late round picks. Although I would take Blatche there if he is available. This guy is just young. But his frame is solid. Also, if Gerald Green is still on the board somehow. I think you have to take him. He could come back and really haunt you.
I don't like to play bad rookies , I like to play good rookies - Mike D'Antoni
