His reputation as I know it (great upside, great body, great skills....hasn't put it all together).

Maybe he has the upside & the body, but the skills are very much up for debate. His shooting from anywhere just sucks. He has no polished moves in his repetoire. I know Kurt Thomas is a great defender, but he made him look so silly last night. He looked like one of those offensively challenged Bo Outlaw types when he had the ball last night (though much bigger, obviously).

Now, maybe Mark Aguirre can give him an offensive clue, but I don't want him unless he can play significant minutes at center. I think Curry & Chandler are far better prospects & targets right now.

I just read it's gonna take $7 mill to pry him from Washington...If that is the case...I think we can all agree that he is a pass.

The former No.1 overall pick turns 23 Friday and has yet to justify his status. This season, Brown is averaging just 5.9 points and 4.7 rebounds in 18.3 minutes off the bench. The Wizards are committed long term to big men Brendan Haywood and Etan Thomas, so keeping Brown might not be a priority. Brown makes $5.3 million and a qualifying offer to him — to prevent him from becoming unrestricted — is a hefty $7 million.

I'd rather keep kurt and our pick.

I think trading KT for youth after the season is the proper move. KT's a good player & is a trade asset as a result. But, right now, Kwame Brown isn't half the player KT is. Makes you wonder if he'll ever be better than say.....Tony Battie.

I would do this deal only because we need a Center, also because we need to make room at the PF position....but Kwame is not worthy...Chandler is better, he will provide the energy, shotblocking, and athleticism that Marb can explore....plus he is familiar with Crawf's game....Now, if the Wiz is willing to let Hughes go with that trade, Please don't think twice...

Washington probably only has to offer a one year deal @ $7milllion to keep him from being unrestricted- wonder if they would?

He might be an unrestricted free agent and might be had for a max MLE.

He's only played like 20 games this year. He's really rusty. Nene looked really rusty earlier in the year too, but slowly got his game back and started playing great.

Yeah franco...thats a big offer. I think they would make the qual. offer so they could have some leverage, but I don't think the Wiz would entertain signing him to a deal longer than 1 year at that price.

exactly he was good last year when he played. I think he's worth right around 6-7mil and I would trade Kurt and our late 1st round picks for him in a second! I think he would settle for the MLE but the following years of his contract have to increase each year. Just like the contract Jamal got
