We're in great shape at WR with terrell, toomer, taylor, Tyree

i hope there's alot of D's to go with all those T's next season.

i don't know about this guy...he's never lived up to his hype when he came out of college...i know he's been playing on a team w/a horrible offense, so maybe there's still some upside left there...i just hope those "flamboyant on-field displays" are kept to a minimum & he comes in knowing that he needs to work his butt off.

now we have an all-Michigan WR tandem of Toomer & Terrell

I thought Terrell was a can't miss reciever when he was drafted. He's got all the tools, size, speed, hands. Just hasn't done it in the NFL. He did start turning a bit of a corner last year, but 42 catches for 699 yards is no where near where he needs to be. But if he's cheap, you gotta give a chance to talent. Coughlin is a reciever's coach. I thin Terrell can probably be better than Ike was last year (i love Ike, but he was done last year...less than 10 yards per catch). Make Terrell earn his job by beating out Taylor.

I like that idea. I was all for letting Taylor start alongside Toomer because he really connected on some huge long plays with Manning last year but its nice to know that we have some nice depth now with Terrell. Tyree is also really good don't underestimate the little guy..great hands and speed! He was one of the best special teams players last year and had some good moments at WR.

I would still bring in Bradford as insurance for Carter.

Tyree is a no.5 reciever, no.4 at best. He doesn't have great speed, is not a natural reciever and is a body catcher. He'd be exposed if he started or played too big a role. He's a great special teamer and has been able to make some nice catches for us, but don't get too excited about him.

man, i really miss Stephen Baker...this team is missing that guy who you can rely on to make the tough catch when you need it, who's not afraid to take a hit & hold onto the ball, & who can sneak into the open seam in the defense to get you a 1st down...no one on this team is really scrappy like that...Toomer dropped several passes last year as did Shockey.

i also miss Dave Meggett...we need guys who can break a big play on special teams...Tyree was very good last year but everytime Meggett got the ball you never knew if he would break off another huge return or not...he was also a great scatback 3rd down back as well, though obviously Tiki more than fills that role on this team...still, would be nice to have 2 guys like Baker & Meggett on this team.

on Defense, i think this team really needs a guy like Pepper Johnson...a vocal leader who brings a spark & some passion to the game...we haven't had that since Jesse Armstead left.

They won't sign another WR. They're fine with toomer, terrell, taylor, tyree. If one guy goes done Tyree steps in temporarily or their drafted WR.

They still need a Cornerback in the worst way so thats where the money should go. They'll most like trade for one..like Will Allen and a pick for Surtain of the Dolphins. or they need to sure up the safety position and the O-line.

The Giants will be in great shape next year after the draft and all these great signings

I'm almost positive that if they sign Terrell they will still bring in another WR. Terrell will be cheap as would be Bradford. But even if they don't sign someone they definitely will draft a wideout. Ernie Accorsi drafts a wideout every year (and most of them suck). But if not Chris Henry in 2 or 3, keep your eye out for this guy Jerome Mathis from Hampton. 4.3 speed and he comes from a small school...fits the profile of Giants WR picks to a tee...

sounds good. Ernie is great at finding good speedy WRs in the late rounds like Dixon who really helped during the superbowl run, Carter(when he was able to walk), and now Taylor.

but if a WR who they like is available with their 1st pick then they'll take him. They'll take the best player available with that 2nd round pick.

They might also need a RB from the draft to backup Barber. I'm not sold on Mike Cloud. I hope there's a sleeper runningback available with that 2nd round pick. tiki needs a good backup and a guy who will take over in a few years. Tiki is 30. He's only got 2-4 good years left.

But in order for them to get good right away through the draft is by improving the defense. corner, safety whatever. They got Pierce but they still need to get younger. Plus you should build around a good defense. Can't wait to see Osi blow up this season!!

This is one of the deeper running back drafts in some time. Ciatrick Fason or JJ Arrington would be a nice pick in rd.2. Darren Sproles is a super small but shifty, big play type who would be a nice pick on day 2.

they have to get max value out of that 2nd round pick, because we don't have a 1st or 3rd rounder this year...i think they can focus on a backup RB later on, maybe in the 5th or 6th rounds...we need to get ourselves some help in the O-Line, or some depth in the D-Line, first & foremost...hopefully we can net ourselves an upgrade at CB w/a trade of Will Allen & a future pick.

yep I agree. those are the ways they'll get better next year.

1. offensive line
2. depth on the Defense line so that injuries dont kill the season like it did last year
3. Safety to replace Shaun Williams eventually

and hopefully upgrade at CB by trading Allen + future pick(or even this year's 2nd or 3rd rd pick) for a guy like Surtain.

Sign someone to replace Hand on D(who they just released and sucked)

and get a decent Fullback like Konrad Hamilton who was just released by Miami since they let Finn go who sucked.

Giants just released Keith Washington. Joseph, Robbins, Osi & Strahan need to step up. A torn ACL was to devastating for a guy the size of Washington.

the Vikings signed Travis Taylor of the Ravens so Plaxico might still be a possibility. He looks really foolish right now for turning down the Giants offer. Now every door is closing on him. I hope we get him so the Eagles don't for a year. I'd still take him over Terrell but I won't be upset if we go with Terrell who is younger and also has upside.

I just hope something happens soon cuz i hate lingering problems. I think the Terrell signing would be nice.....Burgess may be cheaper now because of all the doors closing around him.....

Terrell or Burgess.....today please!

Buress would be a great pick up but i dont think it is going to happen. Hes rubbed alot of people in the giants mangement the wrong way. Terrell would be great too i think that is goign to happen. Buress has a bad attirude and is underachiever and is injury prone. So either way its good but i dont think buress is coming

Plax to the Giants is back on, and nearly done! Looks like it'll be the 6 year 24 mil deal with 8 million signing bonus. Big news for the G-men! They're gonna be in great shape next year!
