how tall is malik rose, he looked like he was the same size[height] as jamal crawford when he was standing next to him?

My God, Dwight Howard is the next Tim Duncan. If I was the Magic, I would try to turn Grant Hill into a couple of nice young players in the offseason to pair with this cat. I love Ok4, but Howard is better and has the chance to be special.

How small did we look last night? We looked like a college team against pro team. As a fan, you always want to look at the positive , you want to believe in the positive, until the negative slaps you in the face.

I think 2 things came out of last night. forget the L.
1. we were shown what a true PG does and how a team controls tempo
2. We are very small, you know you would hope some of the girth would offset other teams height, but it's hard to hide our fat small players against athletic 7 foot players!

I was thinking back to the Bulls and the old Pistons and somehow we could throw 3 solid Gs together[thats where i came up with the concept of going after JR Smith] and have our frontline do damge on the boards and high % shots, and play a little more up tempo

But slap in the face reality, both the bulls and the pistons and multiple 6-10-7-2 players on their teams, and we can see why.

You win a few games and you want to see something that is not there. Folks, I think we blew our small chance at Bogut and right now I don't know what to say about the club.

Tim Thomas carried this club the last few games. And yes,I know he got a boo-boo last night, but the REALITy is we CANT rely on TT! What team has ever relied on TT in his whole career? I took a sip of the kool-aid, but the high is over! I have my equilibrum back and my sense have come to order!

so here is what i have to say

and lastly, the youngest guy on the team always gives the most effort, thats another reason why I wanted a multi=player draft where we could pick up 3-4 guys like the Bulls did. Fresh legs and younger to mesh with the the vets.

No matter how it turns out, we should NOT have done that taylor trade!

too funny. that kool-aid just keeps calling you and calling you. no matter how much you don't want it, it just keeps calling you.

this team is still a mess and absolutely NOTHING has changed. when we were 16-13, crawford was carrying the offense. when we were 3-0 tim was carrying the offense. very FEW, if any, complete team victories this season.

somebody posted a while ago that the only person we have any type of height advantage with is tim thomas. too bad he's mr. softee. every other position, we're undersized and the skill level isn't high enough to offset it.

we got A LONG LONG LONG way to go. WTF did marbury play the entire 4th quarter? why is penny still getting all this burn AT the expense of ariza?

only things we can do is keep giving sweetney the ball, play ariza 20+ mins a night, bench penny, move jamal to the 1 and steph to the 2. other than that, as i said before, hello mr. 9th pick of the draft...

I am starting to see what you are talking about Briggs, with Sweetney. Howard and Battie were just like hovering over him. We need serious size at the post game. A guy who has a real vertical leap too. I am sorry but I don't want to see them draft a combo guard. They need athlethic 7 footers. Bogut will not be there, take that Petro kid, I still say give Villanueva a serious look too, Taft scares me (reminds me of a more passive Chris Wilcox). It is crazy to think that your SF is the tallest guy on the floor.

I didn't see the game. Were Sweetney's minutes limited because of the ankle injury he sustained in practice? Was his lateral movement affected?

I saw it on NBA TV, and they said that Sweetney could be hampered by his ankle injury but it just look like he was too small to deal with shot blockers like Cato, Battie, and Howard. I never really considered how small our team is until you have a bunch of shot blockers crammed in the post. Sweetney is doesn't have much vertical lift to begin with but it could have been the ankle.

btw, Sweetney post defense is terrible. He is vulnerable to spin post moves, and easily get taken off the dribble.

We are small because of Kurt Thomas. For whatever reason, Isiah is very reluctant to trade this dude. In my opinion, the Knicks will never be a force until we let Kurt go to another team and truly address the Center position. Until he is here, folks will always think that he can play the center position. Let him go and give guys with real size a chance to shine. Why isn't Sundov playing a little more? and why not bring JB in and take a real look at this kid? Guys only get better when they play real basketball....

Yeah, I am starting to come around to the whole trading KT issue. For whatever reason, his defense has gotten worse. But it is especially made by the fact that he gets no help. Sweetney has no post game defense against true post players. He gets taken off the dribble so easy. I mean Howard, and Cato were just putting on the floor against. Even the announcers were saying when is the last time you seen Cato do that. I am confident that JB is better than what we have right now as far as defense in the post. It is hard to imagine to be that much worse.

This is the second coming of Spoon, OH, Anderson and Chaney.

You thought it can't happen twice, but it did.

At least Layden had a plan, he got unlucky with McBust. IT pinned his poes on Marbust and got the same result, but not becaue he got hurt, but because he is a looing player.

A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

I will say this. We could've had a fantastic foundation if we used all of our assets getting picks from last year instead of Marbury. Just think if we were the team with 3-4 picks instead of Chicago or Boston, and our foundation was built quite differently than it is now.

We are a bogus version of the Dallas Mavericks. They do some of the same things we do by taking on salaries, but they have used the draft so wisley, that even some of there strange moves are Ok because they have a good foundation of youth that can really play.

its hard to blame current management for that. The Mavs do a good job adding a prospect or two every year. Last 2 years were the first in a about a decade the Knicks actually drafted a player that made the 15 man roster.
