We ran away from what has been working from the last three games. Herb showed that he is a rookie coach by not demanding that Kurt and Timmy to be involve. Marb has only 5 assists, but was 7 for 18, Timmy only took 4 shots? what a dumb decision. Sweetney was very ineffective, perhaps it was because of the injury, but for whatever reason his production and agressiveness was not enough. Crawf who should have been our backup PG, spent more times looking for his shots, and only got us 3 assists.

Perhaps it would have been better to fly them to Florida yesterday instead, because they would have had less time to party in Miami....

What diderotn said and more..... Did Kurt even touch the ball in the 2ns half? TT's been the hottest Knick in the past 4 or so games and he gets 4 shots? Why did Jermaine Jackson even play? What happened to the rebounding? Since Kurt is playing center now, will he still lead the league at not getting to the freethrow line? What the heck has happened to Crawford? I didn't think we'd win this game but I didn't expect this level of ineptness.

It all starts with Marburry. I know that he wasn't at a 100%, but the fact that he took 18 shots tells me that he was feeling good. I am very disappointed of him tonight. I thought that he would have at least taken advantage of the fact that he doesn't have to do it all by himself. Herb should have demanded that TT is more involved, and most of all, he should have asked our boys to take the ball inside instead of shooting from the perimeter.....

I am not going to criticize them too much, but I am a little disappointed that they have failed to utilize what has been working for them..

I couldn't care less about winning, but that's assuming we play the young guys. Sweetney only played 16 minutes and Ariza finished with 18, most of which being garbage minutes. These two guys are solid contributors to this team, and from what I have seen, there is no question that they deserve minutes.
If we're going to focus on playing the vets and making a run for the playoffs, getting blown out by 22 isn't acceptable for me.
I just got to say to my fellow Knick fans, you guys deserve some props. Supporting a team as frustrating as this is no easy task, but it should hopefully get better. Next year: Sweetney, Ariza, Butler, and our picks. Only thing that keeps me going.
Let's see what happens on Sunday against the Warriors.

I hope Herb really gives them something to think about on the flight ...and i mean give it to them really hard. I admit...3 of 4 is much better than a string of losses but i cant take it when they just dont try. You could predict the way this game was going to go from the first quarter. They were shooting way too many threes (5 of 17) and most of those were in the 1st instead of getting into the paint. Only 7 assists between Marbs and craw. And they allowed themselves to be manipulated instead of taking any charge of their own. There was a spark of hope there in the 2nd but it was short lived. I think they need to approach their road games with a confidence that its theirs for the taking. Thats what they lack.

ughhh i'm done venting. Hopefully we'll do better on sunday.

Trevor- i think something he could work on is continutation when he draws fouls.

Moreover - No more proclamations pleasee.
Why?
Starbury says that hes the best PG in the league-->we lost for a month and a half.

Isaih says we have the best pick & roll--> We lose by 22

having ZERO perimeter shooters to counter the zone probably didn't help. they took A TON of open jumpers, but couldn't hit. AND cato played this game (he was out the previous game). so now you have two 7' players clogging the middle. can't run the pick and pop on the zone. thus resulting in us not being able to score our usual ways.

nothing new about our defense.

Lets give Marbury and the rest of our great veterans some needed rest. Why dont we start Jackson, Crawford, Ariza, Sweetney and Butler for the remaining of the season and... tank the... I mean, play hard so we can... get the #1... I mean, make the playoffs?

There is nothing I hate the most is when this team don't try. They had plenty of rest, and I am having a hard time believing that they were tired. They should have stayed their behinds in the hotel, instead of partying in Florida. This team is not good enough not to play at the edge every night. Our rotation was horrible, Penny got too many minutes, and furthermore, Crawf shot too many threes. This team is horrible shooting jumpers, they need to restrict themselves from shooting the 3s. 17 three pointers is far more than what they should have been allowed. The Knicks need to only take 6 three pointers per night. When they have it going, by all means give them more, but 6 should be the magic number. If after 6 the percentage is 50% or more, tell them to take 6 more shots, but if it is below 50% restrict them from it.....We have guys that can play inside, we should utilize them. It was said that TT had injured himself in the second quarter, but the fact remained that he only took 4 shots while Penny and Crawf (our worst shooters) have a combined of 16 shots between the two. We took 77 shots, 17 out of that were 3s. Orlando took 82 shots, but only 7 of that were 3s. The last three games we won mainly because we shot the ball really well. We didn't take that many 3s. If that doesn't say much about our team, I don't know what will.

Versus the Lakers, we took 88 shots, 14 were 3s and we made 7 out of that.

Indiana, we took 74 shots and 3 were from down range

Philly, we took 81 shots and 14 were 3s, and we converted 8 out of that....

Herb needs to really get his boys attention by restricting them from the 3 line. Again 6 should be the magic number..

Yeah I agree that TT should have gotten more shots. The first time down the court in the game he posted up Grant Hill and made a beautiful move and hit a layup with his left hand. I don't think they got him the ball like that again. The Magic were playing a lot of zone though and did double TT anytime he tried to post up pretty much. Also, he is always falling and getting hurt when everyone else just gets right up. Definitely not the toughest guy in the league.
We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.

I guess that something is cooking in Florida right now, because it looks like Orlando is feasting on the Nets also tonight. Last night both teams: Orlando and the Heat have killed their opponents. When they are hot, they are hot...

The Lakes are only a .500 team, and .500 teams don't do well on the road. Indy was decemated by injury, and PHilly had 8 players. That was not "Success"! We could have built on it, but we mailed it in!

We are not a bad team on paper, but our chemistry stinks! Herb had 4 days off to get his team back together and we ran into a decent orlando team that took us apart.

WE hate cuz we care!
