After the next 11 games, I predict that the Knicks will be a ledgit .500 ball club...We are gaining momentum, and a lot of teams that were winning in the first half are beginning to endure some injuries. We've been pretty unlucky in the first half, but we will definitely persevere in the second half.

We have three players that can kill teams down low in: TT, Mo, and Sweetney; about 4 jump shooters who are gaining confidence as the season progresses in: Marb, Crawf, Kurt, and TT for that matter; a boat load of defenders now in: Malik, Ariza, JYD, and the new PG; and most of all a coach who is hungry. Look for us to make some major noise.....

When it is all done and over with, we will be 4 games above .500 and will make the playoffs......

Haters beware....

I don't know about 4 games over .500. That would require finishing the season going 21-4. That seems like a bit of a stretch! I could see the Knicks finishing strong and just missing the playoffs or *possibly, just possibly* if everything works out perfectly, making the playoffs.

Here is an even better prediction, if we make the playoffs, which we will, I expect the Knicks to be the most playoffs prepared in the East next to Detroit. We are pretty much in the playoffs right now, and our boys will be accoustumed to it by the time we get there. Look, Herb made the decision to take the team a couple of days early to Florida just to get them acclimated. Little things that can make a huge difference in the future...

Do you really think we're gonna finish 21-4 or were you just exaggerating?

I predict the Knicks are 7 games behind the Celtics who are a better ballclub and 5 games behind the 8th seeded Pacers. We end up with the 9th seed in the lottery:<(

Bonn, actually its not 21-4. If they were to finsih 43-39 they would have to go 19-6

that sounds reasonable. I wouldn't be surprised if the Knicks' and Celtics' post-trade-deadline records were comparable (w/the Celts just a little better), but the Knicks have too much ground to make up from before the deadline.

I think taking it a game at a time is important. Herb and all the players have been saying that in every interview but it makes sense. The last thing you want them to do is think that they've won 3 in a row and relax. If they look too far ahead, we have some tough games coming up ( heat..etc.) u dont want them to become discouraged.
Prepare for the worst and hope for the best?..at least that how i'm looking at it

I wouldn't be suprised if they did make it. They have momentum now, and if they keep it up I don't see why not.

Well as I said All Star night, the Knicks have a legitimate shot at getting back to .500. I said they'd have to go 9-5 in their first 14 games, which included the tough stretch of their schedule. Then they can close out 11-4, with a very easy last 15 games (playing only 5 games against above .500 teams 2 Chicago, 1 LAL, 1 Cleveland, 1 Washington) so even those 5 are not against top tier teams. They've started out 3-1, which means 6-4 for their next 10 to stay on pace, but this is their toughest stretch. After that, there are no really tough games.. so if .500 gets us in the Playoffs, I think there's still a shot.

I think that it is a mistake to believe that there are any easy games in this league....Knicks need to approach each game as if they are in the playoffs. Bottom line. They can't come in and do what they did versus the Lakers because most teams will take advantage of that.
