"There's no Patrick Ewing in the draft; so you guys better go for the playoffs."

He said that on NBAtv. I thought it was interesting. A pick around 6 or 7 would still probably yield a better player (via draft or trade) to play with Marbury than a pick around 12 or 16 if we make the playoffs. But I'm not gonna root for the team to lose, especially now that they're starting Sweetney and giving Ariza meaningful minutes.

Bonn, you kept saying at the beginning of the season get ready for a real bumpy ride that's probably gonna end up at the .500 mark. Looks like you might be totally right. THis is like a psychodrama reality show. I root like cray for us to beat the Laers, then when we fall apart at the end I'm thinking about the draft pick getting highter. It's prorbably just goin to keep getting crazier as the season goes on. How's this for the stupidest of all stupid optimism - what if AH somehow recovers enough to give us an outside presence by playoff time to complement the wave of inside players we now have? I know it's insane, but '99 was insane too.

even tho rick kamla is a nice tv personality, since he's kind of like joe average getting a tv gig, his thoughts on nba players, real and fantasy wise is a little less to be desired. i like him but i don't take what he says seriously.

if the new CBA has a 20 year min age, this is probably going to be the best draft for a few years to come- so if your getting a high pick, this will be the year.

And this guy is like what, a Fantasy basketball commentator?

I think the new CBA wouldn't take effect this year for the draft.

Thats the point, because the CBA will take effect next year ,all the kids that are under-age will come out this year making the draft very deep and good .-at least in theory.
fishmike 9/27/2024 11:00 PM Ug I hate this. The idea of Towns is great until you see what a pussy he is. Jules is a dog. DD was a flamethrower locked up cheap for 3 more years. First Leon move I hate

If the CBA gets signed and it affects next year's age limit, then this year's draft is going to be full of early entries. That means that this year's draft will be super deep and though a top pick would be great, even a later pick could yield some nice results. Due to the possible influx, there's bound to be a lot of busts in this years draft too. One thing is for certain, it's a going to be a good year to have multiple picks.
