He is balling lately. Destroying people in the low post. Swishing 3's in smooth style. Could it be Nazy was clogging the lane too much for him to find any room for himself. That coupled with KT hogging the baseline. Basketball is all about spacing and something is happening here. It can't just be that he is more relaxed now that the trade deadline came and went.
We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.

I think its more of TT finally playin up to his expectations, not even his potential, since that is limitless.

You can't explain a bball player sucking as bad as he did with auxiliary things like spacing and absence of one player or another.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

thats true too. its not like Nazr clogged the lane 100% of the time. TT was still bricking every thing. but I can see that being the reason for all the turnovers.

What i think it was is he was scared of being traded so he played like crap. Once the second half of the season start he tears it up. We all know how much he loves player in Ny because he is near his home town and family. After all that he has gone through being near your family is huge. This is pure speculation but it makes you think.

Thing is, Sweetney clogs the middle too.

80% of the players in the league are scared of being traded, but when it comes to gametime, they bring their game. It's not an excuse. Neither is the clogging the lane part. Lets just hope TT keeps it up, and steps up on D.

He's had occasional good games in the past. I'll be impressed when he shows some consistency.

You are all wrong about TT. I have been studying this dude for at least 3 years, one thing I have noticed about his game is that he is always at his best after the allstars brake. He has a freaking switch in his head that puts him in cruise control mode in the first half, but he has always finished strong. I do believe that his problem is that he is lazzy. He doesn't work too hard in the beginning of the season, he shuts his mind down and hope to turn it on in the second half. I have said this all throughout the time that he was struggling, because my observation of him is exact....You watch, if he remains with this team next season, you will see that he will do the same thing.....I really believed that he was going to change that mode of play, especially when he said that he was going to dedicate the end of last season to boxing and strengthen his upper boddy....

TT is a very lazzy type of player that needs a coach or GM to get on his a@@ and wake him up......Lenny messed up in the beginning by allowing all that playing time when he was struggling. He should have given him a leave of abscense to go and regain his senses.....I am not saying that his off the court issues were the reasons for his poor production early on, but they have also contributed to problems....

My question is this, and you can see it even in last night's game,
even tho it worked for him. When he gets the ball in the post,
why does he always spin towards the other defender, effectively
GIVING the other team a double team on him? Go baseline once in a
while! Or SOMETHING!

Hey as long as what he does work, let's not recreate the dude's game, because he can turn what he does into points. Now, once it stops working for him, then we can complain...... I will take that type of production from him every night...

He's been playing very well as of late. Hopefully he's pumping up his trade value for the offseason.

Actually, he is not a bad asset to have if we can re-sign him for cheap....However, he is not worth no more than 7 million per year....I am sure Isiah will evaluate him further and see if he is worthy to keep around. dude is 6'10" and muscular. He is not a great player, but in the right system can be very productive....I think that Herb has found a way to pump him up....Dude, he and Penny almost came to punch eachother last night, that is a sign of good things to come....

This is a very funny thread. I think TT is just one of those players who is born to frustrate. It makes perfect sense that he and KVH keep getting traded for each other becsue he's another one. They truly are $7M players, not $14M players, and I think that does matter for how a player plays, especially a guy without a consistently strong mindframe on the court, like TT. The pressure of the huge bucks hurts the guy's game, IMO.

Interesting. Thanks for posting.

I'm having a real hard time with Penny. I can't stand seeing him on the court any longer. i know every now and then he does something good but for the most part he seems like such a liability. It's funny how we each get rubbed the wrong way by different players on this team. New personality inventory - which Knick player makes your skin crawl??

I used to be a BIG Penny fan, now I pretty much hate when he is in the game. He tries to do too much and thinks he is 7 years younger than he actually is.
