I wouldn't be surprised if the Knicks do pick him up again. I see it as a "don't care". If he's on the roster, it's only until something better comes along.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

I read somewhere we wouldnt take him back. That being said we do need a backup PG. I would like to get someone that could be a future part of the team. One of these 24-25 year old guys thats kind of bouned around and is hungry

I liked him better than Moochie...but that's not saying much. I'd rather give Crawford minutes at backup. Throw Ariza in at the 2 if necesarry, anything to get him minutes.

It's not a big decision. As was said, we're best off giving Crawford the minutes as back-up point guard. If there's someone from the cba that the coaches and scouts like, give him a shot. If not, take Brewer back for the rest of the season - since he knows the players and plays.

We should have kept Andre Barrett.

eh I disagree. what was he doing for Houston's PG situation? They had to grow through a gazillion PGs this season and now they have a decent one with mike james.

I say either sign someone out of the cba or just leave leave the team the way it is then you crawford or marbury get injured but him on IR and pick someone up.

Barrett is a project. A team like the Knicks who, unlike Houston, have no present, could have afforded to show patience and give him more PT.

eh i wouldn't classify the Knicks as one of those teams since we already have Marbury, Crawford, Penny and Ariza getting all the minutes at the guard position.

Barrett on a team like Atlanta who has kenny anderson starting would make sense. There they can afford to give him a chance to see what he's got.

what we really need is a Center. Isiah has waisted a lot of time for not trying to acquire Jamal Sampson. We have ball handlers that can actually backup Marb at PG. Penny and Crawf can all do a very decent job. We have guys that can also play the SG position: Penny, Marb, Crawf, Ariza, and even Malik Rose can step in if we are really looking to add defense and rebounds while we have scorers on the court. Marb, Crawf, Malik, Mo, Kurt; or Marb, Malik, TT, Mo, and JYD if Kurt is in foul trouble; or Crawf, Ariza, TT, Sweet, Kurt. We have a lot of options at the guards, but not enough at Center since Bruno is not considered to contribute.

The Knicks record states otherwise and this is a rebuilding thing, I too would have liked to given Andre more of a chance. I know hindsight is 20/20 but I really see him having an impact kinda like Earl Boykins has right now. Barrett can run on anyone and is a great team leader, 2 things that make a perfect backup PG.

boykins has had success because he is stronger than most PGs. He bench pressesover 300lbs. thats what football players bench press!

I doubt the Knicks will pick him up. They are suppose to sign Jermaine Jackson from the cba to play point.

You must be insane! Boykins has success in this league mainly because he can score the basket, not because he pressover 300lbs. Some of you just think like a freaking kid... Weight lifting has nothing to do with being a basketball player...it is putting the ball in the basket that matters..

i agree he can put the ball in the basket but if he wasn't as strong as he is at 5'5'' he would never put up the numbers he puts up
