This might be a bit premature, but I've seen Marbury hit the floor twice diving for a loose ball in the last two games. Today, I see Tim Thomas dive into the stands on a hustle play after a great defensive effort. In the first half, the Pacers have at least three 24-second violations. I might just be imagining this, but I think I've been seeing a better all around effort lately and it's certainly more than I've seen out of the team during Wilken's entire tenure.

I see it too. You see Herb was a hard nosed player. He learned alot playing for Riley and JVG about D. Herb has always been known as a very smart guy. I think he will do well. He garners the respect of his players that is obvious. This team will get beetter defensively and in fact already are.

Nice win. Not getting too excited but I am seeing some signs of life here.

Rose will be a good addition. MoT? Eh.

After the game, Marbury was talking about the Knicks defense. That's something in itself. Also, how many times have we seen the Knicks hold a team - any team - under 80? I think Herb is getting through and I'm glad to see it.
