NBA on NBC, Does anyone else miss it?

I was watching the Knicks-Heat yesterday from 1999 and it made me miss watching the NBA on NBC. That song they used to play when it went to commercial was awesome, it always felt like playoff time when I heard that beat. The NBA on ABC sucks, anyone else agree??

This is kind of a stupid thread , but I felt like venting cause I wish the NBA was still on NBC

The NBA bought that song from John Tesh and they use it on their NBA TV games. I agree, that song always just makes me think of playoff basketball.

yea i always hear it on NBATV and it makes me think of old times and the good old days

I got cable and was reminiscing how the all-star game used to be on NBC or public TV... I guess some missed out.

abc is awful as is espn BUT in the grand scheme of things, it doesn't deter from watching the games. so nbc did it good, but it's a big "whatever" from me.

No, I don't miss it on NBC. I rather like the NBA on ABC, because the game matter more than Rashad love connection with MJ. Hanna Storm was annoying, and constant Friends, Frasier, ER, and Mad About You promos was a pain in my rear. The best thing about NBC was Sir Charles and Vecsey going at one another.

I miss it too.

Nothing comes close to those dope NBA on NBC doubleheaders on a Sunday afternoon.

I miss the NBA in NBC, but I don't miss Bob Costas finding the need to educate the viewer about the playoff format, the rules of the game, and why teams play defense.
