that is a nice trade for philly. i thought giving up three big men was a huge mistake and would leave their frontcourt thin, but rodney rodgers is a great replacement. o'brien has the big men he wanted because all of them can shoot from the outside. we agree that philly will be a good team but they are definately not getting out the east.
Who the H knows what Philly will be? You would think they couldve gotten a SG out of this as well with an ending contract. they gave NO a great deal of latitude for Rodney Rogers. How about give me Lee Nailon Rogers Andersen and a second round pick this year for all that cap space??? Since Philly is going for it, they shouldve been able to get more firepower for what they gave NO. Rogers?
I like what Houston did-number 1 they are a legit team that has a very reasonable chance and they go out and get an under rated athletic guard who can play serious D for nothing but crp.
Webber is a high risk deal, they were fortunate though that they gave up just as much in salaries, which gives the high risk scenario some sort of hedge. But if they are going for it, couldnt they do better than Rogers for an ending contract that actually makes NO a player in FA? Obviously Magliore is going nowhere.
