What was the last good thign that happened to them???

Back in 1985 they drafted Ewing.

After that it was all for the worse.

Ewing makes like one winning shot in his life, we haver can put together true team aroudn him, draft bust after bust.

The year we can actually win, half the team is suspended for walking a foot away fromthe bench, not even.

Ewing misses a layup. Starks does what he did.

Ewing gets hurt in '99, we get crushed by SA.

Layden becomes our GM, his every move is a nightmare.

We trade for Marbury, who turns out to be a total looser.

Over the cap, years of lottery ahead, thats what you get for trading away Frasier and then Ewing, cursed they are...
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

The fact that we can mention playoff trips and NBA Finals appearances means its hard to imagine them being cursed. How about the Warriors, who haven't been in the playoffs in like 12 years?

And with CWebb not going to the Knicks, it looks like they aren't cursed.

Add Not taking Dr J. instead of 6 million dollars owed by the nets to the knicks when entering the NBA.

Spencer Haywood fall from grace (sniff-sniff).

Bob Mcadoo not fitting in.

Marvin "The Human Eraser" Webster's knees.

Michael Ray Richardson becoming a coke-head idiot.

Bernard King blowing his knee out.

Shit happens, but we Starphuched our way around Ewing for years and it yielded some nice moments, great profits, but no banner!

When you are in the NBA finals and perennia playoff contenders, you are not cursed.

Even better Grunfeld getting fired has to be the turning point.....his players got the Knicks to the Finals....if he was allowed to stick around he would have gotten the Knicks the final pieces around Ewing to make a final push. I seriously doubt Houston would even be on the team if Grunfeld had stayed.

CURSES!!!!!!!!

Ewing may not have the rings but he did lead the Knicks into at least the 2nd round for 10 straight years. Getting to the playoffs for a decade straight is solid, advancing every year is impressive.

What followed was Layden's ineptitude run amok. Now its going to take a lot of time to undo. We are lucky in some ways that Dolan is willing to spend to speed up the process. Otherwise your looking at a 5-6 year Bulls like rebulding process

When I look back at it, what Ewing did was incredible. You never thought about struggles to make the playoffs, it was like man win a championship, we need to get past the Bulls in the Conference finals. And that was in a strong, very strong Eastern Conference. Now it is like man, we need to get to somewhere around .500 ball for the season and maybe we can get in.
Now guys like Houston who makes like 5 times what Ewing ever made, gets off light. Where is all the media pressure on Allan like Ewing. I mean now it seems that everyone is turning on Marbury but Allan gets off. Did I miss something. Everyone else is playing hurt, Damn Ewing once played with a partial tore ACL, even TT is playing hurt now, and according to most people on this forum he is soft. Houston's condition is chronic, it won't get better, ask Webber about it.
