I don't think it'd happen but the guys on ESPN Radio 1050 AM were disussing it late this morning... Do you think it could happen before tomorrow's trade deadline and would you like it to?

Kidd's great, but he's also 5 years older than Steph and has about 90M left on his contract through '09. We're not winning anything anytime soon, and by the time we're in a position to win, Kidd will be entering the twilight of his career. I say no. If we're looking to shop Stephon, look for a young big.

That's one trade that makes no sense for either team.

The Nets would piss off Vince Carter, ruin a good thing, return Marbury to fans who don't like him and potentially miss the playoffs.

The Knicks get the older Kidd, despite knowing that we won't likely be contenders for 3-4 more years.

Talk about a lose-lose trade. I can't see it at all.

after getting traded from NY->NJ I think that Marbury might spontaniously combust.

Solace is right.. lose lose. The Kidd/Carter tandem isnt that good btw, and the only solace would be in watching Kidd suck with the same cast that Marbury sucked with.

No doubt after the Kidd trade NY would sign Swift, draft Bogut and trade KT/Penny for Webber and when the Knicks win 50 games everyone will say "SEE!!! Marbury isnt a winner!!!!"

Yep I'm with everyone here. I hate that trade. CAA "fans" don't like Marbury and Kidd is much older. It doesn't really matter since Marbury isn't going anywhere as long as Isiah is around, but I would rather try for a big like Brand
