My summer wish list:

I want Ray Allen.....I always did. I love his game. He's a confident guy too. He loves the media and would probably love the opportunities to rekindle his acting career during the off season with all the NY attention.....

Ray and Marbs would be real nice. Kind of a Brooklyn connection with Marbs from Coney Island and Ray having played Jesus Shuttlesworth, who lived in Coney Island kind of a tribute to Marbs(and Sabs).....Ray would easily make me forget Crawford. Ray is also a real leader.

Odom is another guy that would be great in NY. He plays hard and makes his teamates better.

My summer expectations would be to add at least one of the players below and I'd rank them in the order below. Depending on how good the player is (i.e., how close to the top of the list he is), you could give up our lottery pick (probably around #6), expiring contracts, possibly Sweetney or Ariza, and take back a bad contract. Obviously you don't do all of those above.

Unless that ??? is replaced by a legitimate starting center, we're not going to have improved much at all. Filling the ??? is more important than acquiring Artest. In fact, I'd say filling that ??? is more important than retaining Craw and Marbury.

I wouldn't say that you can get away by adding a defensive center who doesn't even score like a Ben Wallace, Vintage Mutombo but you still need to score from somewhere. You get a dominate big man and take away guard play, well a team could zone you every nite.

be realistic... I would be happy if we drafted Sheldon Williams, Nate Robinson and Ryan Gomes (say Isiah pays Seatle $1.5mm for their pick so they save the cap space). If we could JUST trade KT for Rose/Sato and the Spurs (or Suns) #1 then with no FAs or MLE signing we would look like this next year:

Much improved. Keep TT/Penny around in case someone has a firesale. Otherwise let their $$$ come off the books so we can spend on REAL players with talent.
