I spent a little over a month in Durham North Carolina hotel last december because of a back injury from playing some pick-up bball and I ended up watching a bunch of Duke games and one kid that stood out is Daniel Ewing.Im not saying to pass on Bogut if available obviously,but if we aquired some more picks Id definitely give him a look.

Career to date: Posted 19.6 points, 8.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 3.0 steals as a high school senior. Named to the McDonald's All-American team. Verbally committed to Duke the day after his mother had open heart surgery Averaged 6.5 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.0 steals per game as a Duke freshman. Posted 12.0 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.3 steals as a sophomore. Shot .406 from 3-point range. A first-team All-ACC Tournament and honorable mention All-ACC selection as a junior. Averaged 12.6 points, 2.6 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.4 steals per game. Led the ACC in 3-point percentage (.411).

Scouting Report: Outstanding slasher who finds ways to score, especially going to the hole ... Charges to the bucket on off the ball cuts ... Has impressive composure off the dribble, especially on baseline pull-up jumper from 15 feet ... Great leaper, converts on athletic scoop shots and flat out finishes ... Can also cause havoc from beyond the arc ... A tremendous shooter, in spot-up or off-balance situations ... Protects the possession, rarely committing turnovers ... A dangerous ball thief on the defensive end ... A decent rebounder and passer at the off guard position.

Stat Stuffer: Shot an incredible .457 from 3-point range as a freshman. Scored career-high 18 points and had six rebounds, three assists and a steal against Notre Dame in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. As a sophomore, scored 19 points once, 18 twice and 17 twice. As a junior, tallied 20 and 19 points three times.

Fun Fact: Ewing's former high school teammates T.J. Ford and Kenny Taylor went on to play at Texas and Baylor.

Six Degrees of MJ: Ewing's former Duke teammate Carlos Boozer played on the Cleveland Cavaliers with Tyrone Hill, who played on the Philadelphia 76ers with Larry Hughes, who played on the Washington Wizards with Michael Jordan.
